WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Growth Marketing Manager on our Ecommerce Growth Team, you’ll own and optimize critical parts of the digital customer journey, driving measurable improvements in acquisition, conversion, and overall site performance. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, product, analytics, and design—focused on turning insights into action and ideas into shipped experiences.
To succeed, you’ll need strong analytical instincts, a bias for action, and the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-moving environment. You’ll be expected to identify opportunities, build business cases, execute experiments, and drive results—while also helping push the boundaries of how we leverage AI to move faster and smarter.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor site performance and KPIs, proactively identifying funnel drop-offs, friction points, and growth opportunities
- Own hypothesis generation, testing strategy, and execution for site experiments and personalization
- Execute self-service updates across site content, product configuration, pricing, and experiences
- Define and prioritize a roadmap of enhancements and experiments, building clear business cases and handing off well-defined work to product and engineering partners
- Partner closely with design and analytics to develop, launch, and recap experiments, translating results into actionable insights
- Continuously improve key areas of the ecommerce experience such as product discovery, shopping paths, checkout and other conversion flows
- Leverage AI tools and capabilities to accelerate experimentation, automate workflows, and unlock new forms of personalization and self-service optimization
- Identify and implement scalable ways AI can enhance decision-making, speed of execution, and overall growth impact
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, telesales, and engineering to ensure a seamless and high-performing customer journey
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3–6 years of experience in growth, ecommerce, product, or a similar role focused on digital optimization and experimentation
- A strong data-driven mindset—you’re comfortable digging into metrics, identifying patterns, and making decisions backed by data
- Proven experience running A/B tests end-to-end, from hypothesis to readout
- Experience owning or contributing to ecommerce funnels, including landing pages, product discovery, and checkout experiences
- Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously and execute quickly in a self-service environment
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work across design, analytics, and engineering teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
And importantly:
- Proven “AI chops”—you don’t just use AI for basic productivity, but have a track record of applying it to meaningfully improve workflows, experimentation velocity, personalization, or decision-making
- Experience leveraging AI to enable faster iteration, automate parts of the growth process, or unlock new capabilities in ecommerce or digital experiences
- A curiosity and drive to push how AI can transform how a growth team operates

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding OPT Sponsorship as a Growth Manager
Frame your STEM OPT extension as an asset
If your degree is in a STEM-designated field like data science or computer science, you may qualify for 24 additional months of work authorization. Lead with this in conversations, as it gives employers more time before any H-1B sponsorship commitment.
Demonstrate measurable growth impact early
Employers sponsor visa holders who are hard to replace. Document your contributions in pipeline growth, conversion rates, or revenue attribution from day one. Concrete metrics make the business case for sponsorship significantly stronger.
Clarify your OPT timeline upfront with hiring managers
Raise work authorization early in the process, not at offer stage. Knowing your OPT expiration date and STEM extension eligibility helps employers plan their H-1B petition timeline and avoids misaligned expectations later in negotiations.
Prioritize roles with cross-functional data responsibilities
Growth Manager positions tied to analytics, experimentation, or technical marketing are easier to classify as specialty occupations for H-1B purposes. Roles with a clear degree requirement in a specific field strengthen your future petition considerably.
Browse OPT-friendly roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to find Growth Manager openings at companies already open to OPT candidates. Filtering for sponsorship-friendly employers saves time and ensures you are applying where your work authorization status will not immediately disqualify you.
Growth Manager OPT: Frequently Asked Questions
Can F-1 OPT students work as Growth Managers in the United States?
Yes. F-1 students authorized for OPT can work as Growth Managers, provided the role is directly related to their field of study. Most Growth Manager positions draw from degrees in marketing, business, economics, or data analytics, which are broadly accepted as qualifying fields. You must have your Employment Authorization Document before your start date.
Do Growth Manager jobs typically qualify for the STEM OPT extension?
It depends on your degree, not the job title. If you hold a degree in a STEM-designated field such as statistics, information systems, or computer science, and the Growth Manager role involves substantial data analysis or technical work, you may qualify for the 24-month STEM extension. Your university's international student office determines eligibility, not your employer.
Will employers sponsor Growth Managers for H-1B visas after OPT?
Many do, particularly at mid-size and larger tech companies where growth functions are core to the business. The key factor is whether your role can be classified as a specialty occupation requiring a specific bachelor's degree. Growth roles tied to analytics, product-led growth, or performance marketing tend to qualify more reliably than generalist marketing coordinator positions.
Where can I find Growth Manager jobs that are open to OPT candidates?
Migrate Mate lists Growth Manager roles at companies that are open to sponsoring international candidates. Browsing there lets you focus your applications on employers already familiar with OPT and H-1B processes, which dramatically improves your chances of getting through to interviews without your work authorization becoming a disqualifying factor early in screening.
What happens if my OPT expires before my employer can sponsor my H-1B?
If your OPT expires before an H-1B takes effect, you lose work authorization and must stop working. The best protection is starting H-1B sponsorship conversations well before your OPT end date. If you are on STEM OPT, your employer also needs to enroll in E-Verify. Planning around the April H-1B filing window is essential to avoid gaps.
