Telehealth positions are fully permissible on OPT as long as the employer is U.S.-based and the role is consistent with your authorized field of study. Remote clinical work has expanded significantly, giving OPT students access to employers across multiple states. Be aware that practicing telehealth across state lines may require licensure in the state where each client is located, which varies by state law.
