OPT Measurement Technician Jobs

INTRODUCTION

As an Electrical Engineer within the Test Measurement & Facilities (TMF) organization, you will specify, design, develop, integrate, and validate electrical systems, test infrastructure, and measurement solutions that enable product development, qualification, reliability testing, and troubleshooting across ASML programs. Working in a multi-disciplinary environment, you will collaborate closely with system architects, software and mechanical engineers, suppliers, and customers to deliver innovative test and measurement capabilities that support both current and next-generation technologies.

You will be responsible for delivering robust electrical designs and test solutions within system specifications, cost targets, and project schedules. This includes development of instrumentation, controls, automation, data acquisition systems, and laboratory infrastructure required to support engineering development, product validation, and operational excellence. The Electrical Engineer provides discipline-specific expertise throughout the entire product lifecycle, including concept feasibility, new product introduction, product sustainment, reliability investigations, and customer-facing problem resolution.

Engineers at this level are expected to lead complex technical design work within their discipline or own module-level areas requiring contributions from multiple engineers. They work autonomously on complex tasks with limited guidance, balancing technical quality with timely delivery while interfacing effectively with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders. The role requires highly motivated, organized, and self-driven individuals with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering reliable, accurate, and efficient test solutions.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Design:

• Analog and Digital Circuit Design
• Printed Circuit Board Design
• AC and DC Power Distribution Design
• Interlock & Safety Circuit Design and Programable Logic Controller (PLC) Design
• Interconnect Cables and Harness Design
• Electronic Racks, Cabinets, Boxes and Control Console Design
• Perform Root Cause Analysis: Troubleshooting from System to Component Level
• Schematic Capture: Functional Overviews, Cable Overviews, and Detail Wiring Diagrams

Technical Writing: Define and Document Specifications and Design Decisions

Test & Integration:

• Develop and Implement the Product Validation and Verification (V&V) Strategy
• Design, Develop and Build Product Specific Test Tooling
• Includes: Simulation, Emulation, and Hardware Test Tools.
• Test Validation and Verification (V&V) of Product Requirements
• Plan and Execute Component Level Testing & Sub-module Integration
• Plan and Execute Module Level and System Level Integration
• Bridge the gap between Electrical Systems and System Software
• Technical Writing: Define and Document Test Procedures, and Test Reports

In this role, you will contribute to engineering deliverables that scale with job grade, from executing defined tasks and supporting senior engineers to owning complex technical scope, coordinating cross-functional work, and leading program-level outcomes.

• Identify, analyze, document, and manage requirements with traceability, and coordinate verification criteria to confirm deliverables meet intent.
• Conduct research and feasibility studies, document findings, and translate results into recommendations, tradeoffs, and decision inputs.
• Develop engineering concepts and solutions, make technical choices, and resolve issues to meet functionality, performance, cost, and compliance needs.
• Define and communicate specifications and high-level designs, align interfaces, and support reviews and approvals to enable quality execution.
• Support system or product integration by coordinating dependencies, applying configuration management, and enabling smooth project execution.
• Define and execute validation and test approaches, improve methods and procedures, and ensure qualification evidence supports release readiness.
• Estimate effort, plan and track work, manage risks and dependencies, and deliver assigned work packages or projects to agreed quality and timelines.

Maintain accurate technical documentation, share knowledge through coaching and mentoring as applicable, and follow EHS policies while identifying and mitigating safety risks.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience or a MS degree in a relevant field required.

Technical & functional skills

• Requirements, Interfaces & Technical Specification Management: Ability to identify, analyze, document, and manage requirements with traceability, translate them into clear specifications, and align interfaces so engineering deliverables meet intent and enable reliable downstream design, integration, and verification.
• Engineering Solution Development (Electrical): Ability to develop engineering concepts and solutions, make sound technical tradeoffs, resolve issues, and realize designs that meet functionality, performance, cost, compliance, and schedule constraints within system/module specifications.
• Preferred knowledge and experience using design software and technical tools includes:
• Electronic Design Automation
• E-CAD (preferably Mentor Graphics xDX/xPCB Designer)
• Circuit Simulation Tools (i.e. PSpice or other)
• Electronic Laboratory Equipment
• MATLAB
• LabVIEW
• Python

Integration, Verification & Validation (V&V) Execution: Ability to plan and execute verification and validation, ensure qualification evidence supports release readiness, and support system/product integration by coordinating dependencies and applying disciplined configuration/traceability to deliver working, testable solutions.

OTHER

• This position is located on-site. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation. A flexible workplace arrangement is available for remote work up to two days a week.
• Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
