Paid Media Manager Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a paid media manager in New York?
Most paid media managers in New York start with a bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or communications, then build hands-on experience through coordinator or specialist roles at agencies or in-house teams. New York's dense agency ecosystem, including large holding-company shops and independent digital agencies, is one of the most common entry points. Google Ads and Meta Blueprint certifications strengthen a candidate's profile and are frequently listed as requirements by New York employers.
How much do paid media managers make in New York?
Paid media managers in New York earn a median of about $181,200 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $104,140 for the lowest 10% to over $324,310 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire paid media managers in New York?
Employers hiring paid media managers in New York right now include VML, Crossmedia, and DASH, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. New York's concentration of media companies, financial institutions, and large consumer brands means both agency-side and in-house roles are consistently available across the state.
Which New York cities have the most paid media manager jobs?
New York, New York State, and Mahopac have the most paid media manager openings in New York. New York City drives the large majority of demand because of its density of advertising agencies, financial services headquarters, and major consumer brands, while any suburban markets on the list typically reflect satellite offices of those same large employers rather than independent local hiring ecosystems.
Are there remote paid media manager jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 83% of paid media manager openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how naturally the role fits desk-based and analytical work. Campaign strategy, platform management, and reporting are the functions most commonly performed fully remotely, while client-facing or creative-collaboration roles tend to require at least some in-office presence.
How can I get hired as a paid media manager in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a paid media coordinator or digital marketing associate role at one of New York City's many independent or holding-company agencies, where junior staff manage smaller accounts under supervision. Completing Google Ads and Meta Blueprint certifications before applying gives candidates a concrete edge over other entry-level applicants. Building a portfolio through freelance projects or nonprofit campaigns demonstrates platform fluency when professional experience is limited.
Where can I find and apply to paid media manager jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to paid media manager jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring across the state right now. Find roles that fit your experience and specialization and apply directly to each one.
