Paid Search Manager Jobs in South Carolina: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a paid search manager in South Carolina?
Becoming a paid search manager in South Carolina does not require a state-issued license, but employers consistently expect Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising certifications alongside a bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or a related field. Most candidates start in coordinator or digital marketing assistant roles at agencies or in-house teams in Columbia, Charleston, or the greater Charlotte metro, building hands-on campaign management experience before moving into a manager title.
Which companies hire paid search managers in South Carolina?
Companies currently hiring paid search managers in South Carolina include State of South Carolina, BHC, and CVS Health, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. South Carolina's mix of corporate headquarters, regional financial institutions, and growing e-commerce brands creates consistent demand for paid search talent across both agency and in-house settings.
Which South Carolina cities have the most paid search manager jobs?
Charleston, South Carolina, and Charleston County have the most paid search manager openings in South Carolina. Columbia draws demand from state government contractors, healthcare systems, and the University of South Carolina's affiliated businesses, while Charleston's booming tourism, hospitality tech, and financial services sectors anchor hiring there, and Greenville's manufacturing-adjacent marketing teams and regional agencies round out the market.
Are there remote paid search manager jobs in South Carolina?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 100% of paid search manager openings tied to South Carolina are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how naturally the role fits distributed work. The strategy, reporting, and optimization tasks that make up most of the day-to-day require a computer and platform access rather than an on-site presence, so fully remote arrangements are common even for senior roles.
How can I get hired as a paid search manager in South Carolina with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a digital marketing coordinator or paid media associate role at one of South Carolina's regional agencies in Columbia or Greenville, where junior staff manage small budgets under senior oversight and build real campaign history quickly. Earning a Google Ads certification before applying gives candidates a measurable edge, and lateral moves from SEO, social media advertising, or email marketing roles at South Carolina retailers or healthcare organizations are another common route into the first paid search manager position.
Where can I find and apply to paid search manager jobs in South Carolina?
You can find and apply to paid search manager jobs in South Carolina on Migrate Mate, which lists current South Carolina openings. Search the roles that fit your experience level and preferred location, then apply directly to the ones that match.
