This position serves as the SQF Practitioner and ensures full compliance with USDA, HACCP, GMP, SQF, and all applicable regulatory and corporate food safety requirements.
The QA Manager provides leadership to the QA Department, oversees food safety validation programs, manages customer complaint investigations, maintains regulatory documentation, and ensures plant-wide adherence to food safety and quality standards.

SQF Program Leadership (SQF Practitioner)
- Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the SQF Program
QA Manager All
- Conduct SQF training and ensure plant-wide compliance.
- Review SQF documentation and oversee corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain Business Continuity Plan and Product Recovery Program (3rd in charge).
- Maintain required SQF registers including:
- Raw Material Register
- Contractor Register
- Glass Register
- Specification Register
- Approved Supplier Register
- Oversee label approvals and finished product specifications.
- Ensure rework records are maintained properly.
- Oversee laboratory areas and calibration of testing equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field preferred.
- HACCP Certification required.
- SQF Practitioner Certification required or ability to obtain.
- 5+ years experience in USDA-regulated food manufacturing.
- Experience leading food safety audits (USDA, SQF, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of validation, prerequisite programs, and corrective action processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed.
