As the Accessories PDE Services Technical Leader, you will serve as both a senior technical contributor and team leader, helping deliver high-quality CAD definitions for piping, instrumentation, structural, and mechanical accessory systems. This role carries a high degree of autonomy — you will define priorities, drive improvement initiatives, and shape how the team operates, with your recommendations directly influencing team strategy and KPIs. You will lead technical execution, strengthen team performance, and champion continuous improvement across operations, tools, and ways of working, working closely with design engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional partners to solve complex technical challenges and support the digital transformation of engineering processes.
Job Description
What You’ll Do
Lead technical delivery and operational excellence by owning the quality and execution of CAD assembly work across Gas Turbine Accessory systems, ensuring designs meet project requirements and Bill of Materials (BOM) specifications. Set a high standard for operational excellence and foster a self-motivated culture of improving how work gets done.
Drive continuous improvement with significant ownership by applying Lean principles, leading Problem Solving Reviews (PSRs) on critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and proactively implementing improvements that increase throughput, first-pass yield, and team effectiveness. You will have the latitude to identify problems, propose solutions, and directly shape how the team improves over time.
Lead various planning and collaboration meetings — including Monday Morning Planning — to align priorities across multiple demand sources, escalate team roadblocks, and drive timely problem solving so the team can execute with clarity and focus.
Use data to improve performance by presenting weekly performance trends to the broader organization, clearly communicating progress and risks, and using data, analytics, and emerging technologies to deep dive into trends, identify root causes, and support informed decisions. Your analysis and recommendations will carry real influence on team priorities and strategy.
Mentor and develop the team by coaching technical skills and standard work, building training plans to address capability gaps, and recognizing team and individual accomplishments.
Enable digital transformation and technical oversight by supporting PLM platform transitions and AI-enabled workflows, leading CAD reviews for interface management, using Navisworks for clash detection and quality assurance, and providing expert guidance on high-complexity projects throughout the project lifecycle. With moderate autonomy, you will help define how new tools and processes are adopted across the team.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or another STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), or an Associate degree with significant relevant Product Definition (CAD) experience
8+ years of Engineering and/or Product Definition (CAD) experience
Ability to work 100\% onsite in Greenville, SC
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with NX or another advanced CAD platform
Experience with Dassault ENOVIA or Siemens Teamcenter PLM systems
Experience in Gas Turbine Accessory system design
Proficiency creating dashboards and reports using business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau to analyze performance metrics and communicate insights effectively
Strong written and verbal communication skills across multiple levels of the organization
Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and team development skills
Ability to prioritize high-impact work and adapt in a fast-paced environment
How You’ll Work
You are someone who brings technical depth, sound judgment, and a continuous improvement mindset to the team. You take ownership of problems rather than waiting for direction, and you're comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy to drive meaningful outcomes. You enjoy solving complex problems, developing others, and creating clarity across competing priorities. You use data to guide action, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and look for better ways of working through process improvement and technology adoption — knowing your contributions will have a direct, visible impact on team performance and strategy.
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

Product Engineering Manager Jobs in South Carolina: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a product engineering manager in South Carolina?
The most common path is earning a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or systems engineering, followed by several years of hands-on product engineering work before moving into a management role. South Carolina does not require a state-issued license for product engineering managers in manufacturing or technology, though Professional Engineer registration through the South Carolina Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors can strengthen a candidate's profile. Large employers in Greenville and the Upstate typically promote from within after candidates demonstrate cross-functional leadership.
How much do product engineering managers make in South Carolina?
Product engineering managers in South Carolina earn a median of about $169,040 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $115,280 for the lowest 10% to over $226,970 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire product engineering managers in South Carolina?
Employers hiring product engineering managers in South Carolina right now include Boeing, Techtronic Industries Co., and Sonoco, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. South Carolina's concentration of automotive and aerospace manufacturers means many openings sit inside large tier-one suppliers and assembly operations anchored in the Upstate and Lowcountry corridors.
Which South Carolina cities have the most product engineering manager jobs?
North Charleston, Anderson, and Greenville lead South Carolina for product engineering manager openings. Greenville and the broader Upstate region drive the largest share because of the BMW, Michelin, and Bosch campuses clustered there, while Columbia's defense and government contracting base and Charleston's growing aerospace and port-adjacent manufacturing sector account for most of the remaining concentration.
Are there remote product engineering manager jobs in South Carolina?
Yes, but they're rare. Product engineering management frequently involves hands-on oversight of manufacturing lines, lab environments, or hardware development teams, which limits fully remote arrangements. About 0% of product engineering manager openings tied to South Carolina are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those tend to be roles focused on software-driven product lines, program coordination, or organizations with distributed engineering teams rather than plant-floor operations.
How can I get hired as a product engineering manager in South Carolina with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a product or manufacturing engineer role at one of South Carolina's major industrial employers, particularly in the Upstate automotive corridor, where companies such as BMW Manufacturing and their supplier network regularly hire new engineers and develop them internally. From there, lateral moves into project lead or senior engineer roles build the cross-functional exposure that precedes a manager title. Earning a Professional Engineer registration through the South Carolina Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors or completing a PMP credential signals readiness for leadership and gives candidates a measurable edge in competitive pools.
Where can I find and apply to product engineering manager jobs in South Carolina?
You can find and apply to product engineering manager jobs in South Carolina on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings to see roles that match your experience and location, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
