- Assist with drafting pleadings, motions, proposed orders, requests for judicial notice, evidentiary objections, continuance applications, and other litigation documents.
- Prepare and electronically file documents in state, federal, and appellate courts while ensuring compliance with court rules, procedures, and deadlines.
- Prepare timelines, case chronologies, demonstrative exhibits, and witness materials.
- Draft routine legal correspondence.
- Review outgoing document productions, including redacting, Bates labeling, and quality control review.
- Prepare litigation hold notices, preservation letters, subpoenas, and document requests.
- Conduct legal research using LexisNexis and other legal research platforms.
- Conduct factual investigations, public records research, and social media research to support litigation matters.
- Review, summarize, and analyze medical records and other case-related records to assist in the defense of claims and litigation matters.
- Communicate with clients, experts, vendors, court personnel, and opposing counsel as directed.
- Assist attorneys with trial, arbitration, and hearing preparation, including exhibit management, witness coordination, and preparation of trial notebooks.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the firm's litigation practice and office operations.
- Paralegal Certificate required.
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience required; 5+ years preferred.
- Employment litigation experience preferred.
- Experience supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Experience with legal case management systems, document management platforms, e-discovery tools, and legal research platforms such as LexisNexis.
- NEOS experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and litigation support technology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to analyze legal documents and identify inconsistencies or issues requiring attorney review.
