Paralegal Jobs in Houston, TX

Our Firm is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented paralegal to join our civil defense litigation team. In this role, you will support attorneys by organizing and summarizing records, setting up and maintaining case files, and helping keep matters on track from intake through resolution. Key Responsibilities

· Request, track, and follow up on medical, employment, billing, and other records from providers and third parties

· Review, organize, and index records in chronological order for attorney review

· Prepare clear, accurate summaries and chronologies of medical and other records

· Open and set up new case files, both electronic and physical, in accordance with firm procedures

· Maintain organized case files and document management systems throughout the life of each matter

· Track and calendar deadlines, and help ensure tasks are completed on time

· Assist with preparing correspondence, discovery responses, subpoenas, and other litigation documents

· Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, court personnel, and opposing counsel's offices in a professional manner

· Support attorneys and team members with additional litigation tasks as assigned

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Education:

• Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

• litigation: 2 years (Required)
• paralegal: 2 years (Required)

Language:

• Spanish (Required)

License/Certification:

• Paralegal Certificate (Required)
