Our Portsmouth clinic is a busy, collaborative pediatric outpatient setting serving infants through school-aged children. We offer a wide range of services including early intervention, preschool programs, outpatient therapy, and school-based support. Our team includes OTs, SLPs, and support staff who work closely together to provide individualized, play-based, and highly functional care. The environment is fast-paced, supportive, and focused on helping children reach their fullest potential while also supporting families.
Position Overview:
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Speech-Language Pathologist, where you will play a vital role in improving communication and feeding/swallowing abilities for pediatric patients. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in speech therapy, pediatrics, and patient care to make a meaningful difference. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, deliver tailored interventions, conduct comprehensive assessments, and support early intervention initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed patient assessments to identify speech, language, and feeding/swallowing needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for pediatric and early intervention cases
- Provide engaging, play-based therapy sessions that promote communication and functional skills
- Collaborate with caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistency of care
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on progress and clinical findings
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with healthcare standards
- Educate families on strategies to support carryover at home
Experience:
- Experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred
- Strong foundation in speech therapy, early intervention, and child development
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to SLP
- Ability to complete thorough evaluations and develop effective treatment plans
- Experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary team is a plus
