Clinical Coordinator Jobs in Rhode Island: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a clinical coordinator in Rhode Island?
Most clinical coordinator roles in Rhode Island require a bachelor's degree in nursing, health sciences, or a related field plus active licensure where the role involves direct clinical oversight. Nurses must hold a current license issued or recognized by the Rhode Island Board of Nursing. Non-clinical coordinator tracks, such as research or program coordination, typically require a relevant bachelor's degree and prior healthcare experience rather than a nursing license.
Which companies hire clinical coordinators in Rhode Island?
Employers hiring clinical coordinators in Rhode Island right now include DaVita, HopeHealth, and Iterative Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of October 2026. Rhode Island's hospital-centered market means most openings are tied to large integrated health systems concentrated in the Providence metro area.
Which Rhode Island cities have the most clinical coordinator jobs?
Providence, Warwick, and Wakefield have the most clinical coordinator openings in Rhode Island. Providence drives the largest share of listings because it is home to the state's major academic medical centers and health system headquarters, while Warwick and Pawtucket draw additional volume from community hospitals and outpatient facilities that extend each system's footprint into the suburbs.
Are there remote clinical coordinator jobs in Rhode Island?
Yes, but they're rare. About 0% of clinical coordinator openings tied to Rhode Island are remote or hybrid as of October 2026, reflecting the hands-on nature of most coordination roles. The positions most likely to offer remote or hybrid schedules are research coordination, utilization management, and care management roles where documentation and team communication drive the work rather than direct patient contact.
How can I get hired as a clinical coordinator in Rhode Island with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into coordination from a bedside or direct care role at one of Rhode Island's large health systems. Lifespan and Care New England both run new graduate nurse residency programs that place candidates in specialty units where coordinator openings frequently appear. Applying first as a medical assistant, patient navigator, or unit secretary builds the EHR familiarity and workflow knowledge that Rhode Island hiring managers expect before promoting into a coordinator title.
Where can I find and apply to clinical coordinator jobs in Rhode Island?
You can find and apply to clinical coordinator jobs in Rhode Island on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring in the state right now. Search the listings, find the roles that fit your background and location, and apply directly to the ones that match.
