PhysioCare is an established, independently owned outpatient physical therapy clinic in Jupiter, Florida. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional, personalized patient care in a friendly and professional environment.
We are seeking a reliable, personable, detail-oriented Medical Front Desk / Patient Coordinator who is comfortable managing a busy front office and has experience working with medical insurance.
Responsibilities
· Greet patients and provide excellent customer service.
· Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries.
· Verify medical insurance benefits, eligibility, deductibles, copays, and coinsurance.
· Obtain and track insurance authorizations for physical therapy services, including submitting requests through insurance portals, monitoring approvals, and requesting additional visits as needed.
· Maintain accurate authorization and insurance information in the electronic medical record system.
· Collect patient payments and maintain accurate financial records.
· Accurately calculate percentages, copays, coinsurance, deductibles, patient balances, and payments.
· Explain insurance coverage and patient financial responsibilities clearly and professionally.
· Help convert prospective patient inquiries into scheduled evaluations.
· Communicate with insurance companies, billing personnel, patients, and clinical staff.
· Assist with general administrative duties to keep the clinic running smoothly.
Required Qualifications
· Previous medical front desk or healthcare administrative experience.
· Working knowledge of medical insurance verification and prior authorization procedures.
· Strong basic math proficiency is REQUIRED. Applicants must already be comfortable calculating percentages (including 10%, 20%, etc.), addition, subtraction, and patient payment amounts accurately.
· Ability to calculate copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and patient balances.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment.
· Strong communication and customer service skills.
· Comfortable using computers, electronic medical records, and insurance websites.
· Dependable, professional, and able to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in a physical therapy, orthopedic, chiropractic, or other outpatient medical office.
· Familiarity with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance plans.
· Experience using insurance authorization portals such as Availity, Cohere, or similar systems.
· Familiarity with WebPT or other electronic medical record systems.

Schedule & Compensation
· Full-time, 32–40 hours per week
· Monday–Friday; no weekends
· Competitive hourly pay based on experience
