This role is ideal for a psychiatrist seeking a flexible, fully remote leadership position focused on provider supervision, quality oversight, and clinical program development rather than managing a full patient panel.
What You’ll Do

- Strong knowledge of psychiatric clinical guidelines, quality metrics, documentation expectations, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with Medicaid and Medicare populations and integrated behavioral health care models strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership in clinical program development, provider oversight, and quality improvement.
- Excellent communication skills with care teams, cross-functional partners, and patients.
- Comfort operating in a growing, remote-first organization where clinical rigor, collaboration, and practical problem-solving matter.
Schedule & Compensation
- Hours: ~10-20 hours/week, with flexibility based on availability and program needs.
- Hourly rate: $110-$125/hour; Compensation is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and overall role fit.

Physician Jobs in Pittsburgh: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a physician job in Pittsburgh?
The strongest path into Pittsburgh's physician market runs through its large health systems and academic medical centers, which dominate hiring across Oakland and Shadyside. Candidates with subspecialty training in oncology, cardiology, or neurology are in high demand. Familiarity with value-based care models and a willingness to take on teaching responsibilities at affiliated residency programs gives applicants a clear edge in this city's academically oriented market.
Which companies hire physicians in Pittsburgh?
Pittsburgh physician roles are posted by Allegheny Health Network, LiveWell Homecare Agency, and UPMC and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Pittsburgh's hiring landscape is anchored by large integrated health systems and nationally ranked academic medical centers that recruit across primary care and nearly every specialty.
Are there remote physician jobs in Pittsburgh?
Yes, though remote physician roles are limited by nature since most positions require direct patient contact. About 74% of physician openings tied to Pittsburgh are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, concentrated in telehealth consultation, utilization review, and physician advisory functions. Pittsburgh's growing digital health sector has expanded these options beyond what most mid-size cities offer.
How can I get a physician job in Pittsburgh with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path for early-career physicians in Pittsburgh is through residency-to-employment pipelines at the city's academic health systems, which actively convert residents and fellows into staff roles. Community health centers in neighborhoods like Homewood and the Hill District also hire physicians with limited post-training experience. Demonstrating flexibility on subspecialty coverage and willingness to work across multiple clinic sites strengthens a candidate's position with Pittsburgh-area employers.
Which industries hire the most physicians in Pittsburgh?
The sectors hiring the most physicians in Pittsburgh are Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Pittsburgh's concentration of research universities, federally designated cancer centers, and integrated insurance-provider networks drives unusually deep physician demand across multiple specialties relative to the city's overall size.
