The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for a curious, analytical, and self-driven Platform Solutions Engineer to join our Enterprise Platforms team. This isn't a traditional support role or one focused on mastering a single technology — it's about solving business problems by connecting systems, automating processes, and designing scalable technical solutions across cloud platforms, contact center systems, and enterprise applications.
You may be asked to solve a problem involving AWS, Amazon Connect, ServiceNow, Jira, a third-party SaaS platform, or a system you've never worked with before. You don't need to know every technology on day one. You do need to know how to learn, investigate, connect the dots, and determine the best path from a business requirement to a working technical solution.
The ideal candidate is someone who naturally asks, "How can we make this better?" and can independently figure out how to make it happen.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Engineering & Integration
- Design, build, and maintain integrations between enterprise applications using APIs, webhooks, middleware, and modern integration patterns.
- Develop and maintain serverless solutions on AWS, including planning and executing runtime upgrade and migration projects for deprecated services.
- Design and maintain Amazon Connect contact flows and routing logic across multiple markets and queues.
- Architect notification and messaging workflows to support customer- and agent-facing use cases such as availability alerts and status updates.
- Participate in the implementation and integration of new / existing enterprise platforms.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for automation and optimization, favoring reusable solutions over one-off fixes.
- Design and implement ServiceNow automations to enforce clean ticket lifecycle states, ITIL-aligned status transitions, and QA review processes.
- Design and implement AI-powered workflows and intelligent automation across business platforms, integrating AI services.
- Document architecture, workflows, and integration designs.
Collaboration
- Work closely with Platform Managers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Contact Center Operations, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Participate in solution design discussions and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in software development, platform engineering, automation, systems integration, or a related technical field.
- Experience designing, building, deploying and integrating cloud-based applications and services using APIs.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
Required Hardware and Software Competencies
You will primarily work with AWS, Amazon Connect, ServiceNow, Jira, and other enterprise platforms. Deep expertise in every technology is not expected on day one. Curiosity, problem-solving ability, and the ability to learn quickly are essential.

Platform Engineer Jobs in Dallas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a platform engineer job in Dallas?
Target the sectors driving Dallas hiring: financial services firms in Uptown and Downtown, telecom carriers headquartered in the Platinum Corridor, and health systems and insurers concentrated in the Medical District. Candidates who demonstrate hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines stand out here. Networking through local tech meetups and the Dallas Entrepreneurs community also accelerates introductions to the engineering teams making hiring decisions.
Which companies hire platform engineers in Dallas?
Employers hiring platform engineers in Dallas right now include GEICO, Equinix, and Bestow, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Dallas attracts a mix of Fortune 500 corporate headquarters, regional financial institutions, and mid-size telecom and healthcare technology companies, all of which maintain dedicated platform and infrastructure engineering teams.
Are there remote platform engineer jobs in Dallas?
Yes, platform engineering skews more remote-friendly than hands-on infrastructure roles, since much of the work involves cloud configuration and automation tooling rather than physical hardware. About 100% of platform engineer openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how widely distributed cloud teams have become. Roles focused on Kubernetes orchestration, CI/CD pipeline management, and infrastructure-as-code are most likely to offer full remote or hybrid arrangements.
How can I get a platform engineer job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Dallas is moving laterally from a DevOps engineer or site reliability engineer role at one of the city's mid-size technology services companies, which tend to hire and develop junior talent more actively than large enterprise headquarters. Targeting internal IT teams at Dallas-based financial institutions or healthcare systems for associate infrastructure roles is another common entry point. Building hands-on projects with Terraform and cloud platforms, then pursuing an AWS or Azure certification, gives local hiring managers a concrete signal of readiness.
Which industries hire the most platform engineers in Dallas?
Most platform engineer openings in Dallas sit in Insurance, Technology & Software, and Banking & Financial Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Dallas's concentration of financial services headquarters, major telecom carriers, and large regional health systems means those sectors consistently generate the highest volume of platform and infrastructure engineering demand in the metro.
