Entry Level Power BI Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level power bi job?
Build a portfolio of real dashboards using publicly available datasets, then publish them where hiring managers can find them. Employers at the entry level look for hands-on familiarity with data modeling, DAX basics, and connecting to sources like Excel or SQL. A completed internship, a bootcamp certificate, or a capstone project that shows business thinking alongside technical skill gives candidates a clear edge over applicants with coursework alone.
Which companies hire entry level power bis?
Companies hiring entry level power bis right now include BARCEL, Unisys, and Coforge, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from a broad mix of employers, including mid-size firms building out their analytics capabilities, large enterprises with structured analyst programs, and consulting organizations onboarding junior talent for client-facing reporting work.
Are there remote entry level power bi jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and industry. About 14% of entry level power bi openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, which reflects steady demand for distributed analytics talent at the junior level. Candidates open to hybrid schedules will find the widest selection, as many employers prefer some in-office time for onboarding and mentorship during the first year.
Are these new grad power bi jobs?
Yes, this page includes new grad, recent graduate, and junior power bi roles alongside other entry level postings. A new grad-friendly listing typically welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship work or a portfolio in place of full-time history, and does not require industry certifications as a hard requirement. Look for language like 'entry level,' 'junior analyst,' or 'recent graduates encouraged to apply' as reliable signals.
