Mid Level Power Platform Developer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level power platform developer job?
Position your existing Power Platform work around ownership and measurable impact. Highlight solutions you built independently, not just tasks you completed. Applications that show you've managed full project lifecycles, worked directly with business stakeholders, and solved real process problems without constant supervision stand out. Certifications like PL-200 or PL-400 strengthen your candidacy when paired with a solid project portfolio.
Which companies hire mid level power platform developers?
Companies hiring mid level power platform developers right now include Om Group, BNH, and ASTEC, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level covers large enterprises modernizing internal processes as well as consulting firms and managed service providers building Power Platform practices for multiple clients.
Are there remote mid level power platform developer jobs?
Yes, and availability is strong. About 9% of mid level power platform developer openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly organizations have accepted distributed delivery for Power Platform work. Many remote roles still expect some travel for stakeholder workshops or go-live support, so confirm the travel expectation before applying.
How do I move up to a mid level power platform developer role?
Progression from entry level comes from accumulating real project ownership over time. Focus on building deeper skills across Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse rather than staying surface-level in one area. Take on projects where you own the solution from requirements through deployment. Demonstrating measurable business impact, such as time saved or errors reduced, and earning at least one Microsoft Power Platform certification signals readiness for mid level responsibilities.
Which industries hire the most mid level power platform developers?
Mid Level power platform developer roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Construction & Real Estate, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring because they rely heavily on process automation and custom internal tooling, which Power Platform delivers without requiring large engineering teams or lengthy custom development cycles.
