We're hiring a Procurement Specialist at our Corporate Headquarters in Kansas City, MO and we're looking for someone who's ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction.
This role is responsible for gathering procurement requirements from internal stakeholders, forecasting demand, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely and accurate procurement of telematics and electronic components.The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and has experience working with ERP/WMS systems—preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Advanced Warehouse Management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather procurement requirements and support demand forecasting
- Create, issue, and manage purchase orders to ensure timely procurement of materials and components
- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm order status, delivery schedules, and product availability
- Support new product setup and item master data management within ERP/WMS systems
- Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and supporting replenishment planning
- Resolve supplier and receiving issues, including:
- Shipment discrepancies
- Damaged or incomplete deliveries
- Vendor returns and RMAs
- Ensure accurate documentation and system updates related to purchasing, receiving, and returns
- Partner with warehouse, operations, and accounting teams to ensure smooth procurement workflows
- Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor data, and pricing information
- Identify and escalate supply chain risks or delays to appropriate stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement efficiency and inventory accuracy
- Other functions as assigned in support of the organizational objectives

Skills & Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Experience working with ERP or warehouse management systems
Preferred:
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Advanced Warehouse Management (D365)
- Experience with other enterprise WMS or ERP systems
- Background in purchasing IoT, electronics, or technology-related products
- Familiarity with inventory management and warehouse operations
- Experience handling supplier discrepancies, returns, and logistics coordination
Education and Experience:
- Associate's Degree or higher in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management
- Certified Purchasing Professional Certification or equivalent experience
- At least 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 5 - 10 lbs
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
