Position Summary
Lead the strategy and execution of enterprise-wide initiatives across Surety Enablement, Sourcing Regeneration, Sourcing Innovation. This role is responsible for building and operationalizing the capabilities that ensure resilient, transparent, and future-ready supply networks.
As Senior Director, you will define and deliver against key enterprise OKRs focused on scaling actionable supply risk insights, advancing regenerative sourcing practices, and accelerating innovation through a robust pilot and partnership pipeline. You will work cross-functionally across Global Sourcing & Procurement, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and external partners to unlock breakthrough solutions that strengthen supply continuity and long-term value creation.
This role will also play a key role in overseeing strategic initiatives across the team, requiring strong cross-functional leadership, a balance of execution and long-term planning, and a track record of scaling capabilities in complex organizations.
About the Team
Our Surety of Supply Strategic Initiatives team is focused on delivering enterprise impact by strengthening the resilience and sustainability of Walmart’s global supply base. We operate at the intersection of strategy, operations, and innovation—ensuring the business can anticipate risk, adapt quickly, and lead the industry in responsible sourcing.
The team is organized across three core pillars:
- Surety Enablement: Scaling actionable supply risk signals and embedding them into decision-making at speed and across the enterprise
- Sourcing Regeneration: Driving regenerative practices with suppliers and associates to build more sustainable and resilient supply ecosystems
- Sourcing Innovation: Advancing a disciplined innovation pipeline, including pilots, partnerships, and emerging capabilities that unlock step-change improvements in sourcing
Together, these pillars enable Walmart to move from reactive risk management to proactive, data-driven, and regenerative sourcing leadership.
- Set and lead the enterprise strategy for Surety of Supply across Enablement, Regeneration, and Innovation
- Translate OKRs into clear priorities, roadmaps, and measurable business outcomes
- Scale supply risk intelligence and embed actionable insights into sourcing and supply chain decisions
- Drive adoption of regenerative sourcing practices across suppliers and internal teams
- Build and operationalize an innovation pipeline, including pilots, partnerships, and new capabilities
- Influence cross-functional leaders to align on priorities, investments, and execution
- Partner across Sourcing, Supply Chain, Merchandising, and Tech to deliver enterprise impact
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team with a focus on speed, accountability, and innovation

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

Minimum Qualifications

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in business or related area and 7 years’ experience in supply chain, transportation, logistics, or related area. Option 2: 9 years' experience in supply chain, transportation, logistics, or related area.
3 years' supervisory experience.
