What You'll Do:
As a Part Time Producer & Digital Content Creator, you'll play a key role in shaping the daily sound and digital presence of WKXW-FM. You'll engage audiences across on-air, online, social, and in the community by:
- Support live, engaging on-air shows Monday through Friday, with potential for on-air contributions based on skill set and opportunity
- Prepare compelling daily show content that entertains, informs, and connects with the target audience
- Creating and publishing a minimum of two original local articles per day for the station website and mobile app
- Create, edit, and publish digital content across platforms, including WordPress articles, videos, galleries, and short-form social content (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook)
- Write, schedule, and actively engage with audiences across social media, station app, and digital platforms
- Screen calls, manage listener interaction, and enhance audience engagement during on-air segments
- Coordinate guests, interviews, remote broadcasts, and station events
- Connect with listeners through interviews, live appearances, remotes, and community events
- Represent the station at promotions, live broadcasts, and special programming initiatives
- Produce commercials and support market-wide programming and content needs
- Identify trending topics and leverage audience insights to generate relevant content ideas
- Collaborate cross-functionally with on-air talent, programming, promotions, digital, and sales teams to execute integrated content initiatives and campaigns
- Assist with live events, station activations, and promotions as needed
- Champion the station brand in the community by building authentic relationships and maintaining a strong local presence
