- Communicate development status, risks, decisions, and critical next steps clearly to key stakeholders.
- Navigate changing priorities and accelerated timelines while maintaining a high standard of execution.

- Monitor vendor performance across quality, service, innovation, cost, and delivery.
- Support sourcing and onboarding of new development and manufacturing partners as the business scales.
- Partner with Regulatory and Quality teams to ensure products meet applicable testing, safety, claims, labeling, and regulatory requirements.

Product Development Manager Jobs in Los Angeles: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a product development manager job in Los Angeles?
Los Angeles product development manager roles concentrate in consumer electronics, entertainment technology, health tech, and media, with employers clustered in El Segundo, Culver City, and the Westside corridor. Candidates who stand out here typically bring cross-functional experience bridging hardware or software and creative teams, a skill set that reflects LA's blend of tech and entertainment industries. Networking within LA's startup communities and attending local product meetups accelerates the search considerably.
Which companies hire product development managers in Los Angeles?
Los Angeles product development manager roles are posted by RH, Thrive Causemetics, and Alo and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. The LA market includes a mix of large consumer electronics firms, entertainment studios with in-house product divisions, and a dense layer of venture-backed startups spread across the Westside and South Bay.
Are there remote product development manager jobs in Los Angeles?
Yes, though availability depends on the industry, since roles tied to physical product lines or studio operations are often on-site. About 73% of product development manager openings tied to Los Angeles are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with flexibility most common in software-driven and platform product roles. Strategy, roadmap planning, and stakeholder coordination work tend to be the functions most compatible with remote arrangements in the LA market.
How can I get a product development manager job in Los Angeles with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Los Angeles is moving laterally from a coordinator or associate product role inside a mid-size consumer brand, entertainment company, or health tech startup, where smaller teams give early exposure to the full development lifecycle. Employers in the South Bay and Culver City corridor often hire associate product managers or program coordinators who can grow into development manager roles. Building a portfolio of any shipped product work, even from freelance or internship projects, gives a concrete edge in LA interviews.
