Professional Services Delivery Manager
*************MUST HAVE DONE THIS FOR AN MSP*************
Generation IX Technologies (GenIX)
Location: Culver City, CA (on-site/hybrid)
Compensation: $75,000-$90,000 base, plus performance bonus
GenIX is a growing Los Angeles based MSP/MSSP serving entertainment, investment management, education, and professional services clients. We invest in our people and want them to build a career here, not just hold a job. We're looking for a Professional Services Delivery Manager who is part team leader, part hands-on technical builder, someone who can run the delivery function and still get into the work when it matters.
We need a builder, not a sidekick.
You'll own the professional services project pipeline, manage and develop a team of engineers, and personally lead technical work on our more complex engagements. You'll be the escalation point when a project stalls and the person who makes sure our delivery methodology actually gets followed.
What You'll Do
● Own the PS project pipeline: scheduling, staffing, budget, and delivery
● Manage, mentor, and develop your team, holding people accountable and building their growth paths
● Personally lead or contribute technical work on complex, high visibility projects
● Review statements of work with sales and flag scoping or pricing risk before contracts are signed
● Build and maintain a repeatable delivery methodology and handoff process with the Operate team
● Track utilization, margin, and on-time delivery metrics for the team
What You Bring
● 5+ years in IT services with 2+ years leading delivery, specifically at an MSP, MSSP, or IT services company, not an in-house IT department
● Strong hands-on skills in networking (switches, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs), WiFi design, and virtualization (VMware and Hyper-V)
● Experience running SharePoint migrations off Windows file servers
● Experience standing up Azure deployments from on-premise infrastructure
● More than a cursory knowledge of configuring Claude/ChatGPT environments and guardrails, we're building out AI setups for clients and need real depth here
● Comfort managing people and running multiple concurrent projects without things falling through the cracks
● The judgment to know when to delegate and when to roll up your sleeves
Why GenIX
Real ownership over how projects get delivered, a direct line to leadership, and a company that's growing and investing in the people who help it get there.

Professional Services Engineer Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a professional services engineer in California?
A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field is the standard entry point for professional services engineer roles in California. The role has no state-issued license requirement, but California employers consistently favor candidates with hands-on experience deploying enterprise software and relevant vendor certifications from companies like Salesforce, AWS, or Cisco. A portfolio of customer-facing implementation projects strengthens candidacy considerably.
Which companies hire professional services engineers in California?
Employers hiring professional services engineers in California right now include California State University, Amazon Web Services, and Sonoma State University, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. California's dense concentration of SaaS headquarters and enterprise technology companies makes it one of the most consistent states for professional services engineer hiring year-round.
Which California cities have the most professional services engineer jobs?
San Francisco, San Diego, and Los Angeles account for the most professional services engineer openings in California. San Francisco and San Jose anchor the distribution because of the Bay Area's high density of SaaS, cloud, and enterprise software headquarters, while Los Angeles has grown as a hub for media technology and cybersecurity employers that rely heavily on customer-facing engineering teams.
Are there remote professional services engineer jobs in California?
Yes, and more than most technical fields, since much of the implementation, onboarding, and integration work professional services engineers do can be performed remotely via screen share and API access. About 58% of professional services engineer openings tied to California are remote or hybrid as of August 2026. The most remote-friendly parts of the role are post-sale technical onboarding, integration design, and customer training.
How can I get hired as a professional services engineer in California with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a technical support or solutions associate role at a California-based SaaS company, then moving laterally into professional services once you have customer-facing product knowledge. Companies like Salesforce and Cisco run structured new-graduate and associate programs in California that feed directly into professional services teams. Building a Salesforce Administrator or AWS Cloud Practitioner certification before applying gives candidates a concrete credential that compensates for limited hands-on work history.
Where can I find and apply to professional services engineer jobs in California?
You can find and apply to professional services engineer jobs in California on Migrate Mate, which lists current California openings. Search the listings, find roles that fit your background and preferred location, and apply directly.
