Entry Level Product Engineering Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level product engineering manager job?
Employers hiring at this level look for candidates who can demonstrate cross-functional thinking and basic project coordination, even from internships, coursework, or side projects. A portfolio showing how you have moved a product or feature from idea to completion gives you a concrete edge. Roles that list two years or fewer of experience are your best starting point, and tailoring your resume to highlight ownership and outcomes rather than tasks helps you stand out.
Which companies hire entry level product engineering managers?
Companies hiring entry level product engineering managers right now include University of Utah, OhioHealth, and FedEx Freight, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Both large technology firms and growth-stage startups tend to post at this level, since they often build out junior product engineering teams alongside more senior hires.
Are there remote entry level product engineering manager jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid roles still make up a share of the market. About 14% of entry level product engineering manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates who prefer flexibility have real options to consider alongside fully in-person postings.
Are these new grad product engineering manager jobs?
Yes, this page includes new grad, recent graduate, and junior product engineering manager roles. A new grad-friendly posting typically welcomes zero to two years of experience and accepts internships, capstone projects, or a strong portfolio in place of full-time work history. Look for language like "0 to 2 years," "recent graduates welcome," or "entry level" directly in the job description to confirm a posting fits where you are now.
Which industries hire the most entry level product engineering managers?
Entry Level product engineering manager roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Retail, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to hire at the junior level because they are scaling product teams quickly and need early-career managers who can grow with the organization.
