Product Manager Jobs in Irvine: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a product manager job in Irvine?
Focus on Irvine's densest hiring sectors: enterprise software, cybersecurity, medical devices, and consumer tech, which are concentrated in the Irvine Spectrum and Irvine Business Complex. Mid-size technology companies and health-tech firms here tend to move quickly, so tailoring your portfolio to B2B SaaS or regulated-industry products gives you a clear edge. Candidates who can speak to Agile delivery within cross-functional hardware-software teams stand out in this market.
Which companies hire product managers in Irvine?
Companies currently hiring product managers in Irvine include Edwards Lifesciences, MKS, and AbbVie, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Irvine's employer mix skews toward established mid-market technology firms and large enterprise divisions, alongside a growing cluster of health-tech and cybersecurity companies with dedicated product teams.
Are there remote product manager jobs in Irvine?
Yes, though availability depends on the sector, as product manager roles tied to hardware, medical devices, or in-person stakeholder management tend to require more on-site presence than pure software or analytics-focused positions. About 50% of product manager openings tied to Irvine are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with the highest flexibility found in enterprise SaaS and platform product roles based in the Irvine Spectrum.
How can I get a product manager job in Irvine with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Irvine is moving laterally from an adjacent role, such as business analyst, QA engineer, or technical support, within one of the city's mid-size software or health-tech companies. Many firms in the Irvine Business Complex and Irvine Spectrum promote internally into associate PM roles. Building a case study around a product problem in their specific industry, whether cybersecurity workflows or medical device UX, makes a candidate far more compelling than a generic application.
Which industries hire the most product managers in Irvine?
The sectors hiring the most product managers in Irvine are Staffing & Recruiting and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Irvine's position as a hub for cybersecurity, enterprise software, and medical technology companies drives consistent product management demand across both established corporate divisions and growth-stage firms in the area.
