Entry Level Production Supervisor Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level production supervisor job?
Employers hiring at the entry level look for candidates who can demonstrate hands-on experience from internships, co-ops, or coursework in manufacturing, operations, or industrial technology. Familiarity with production scheduling, quality control basics, and team coordination gives candidates a real edge. A degree in operations management, industrial engineering, or a related field is common, but demonstrated floor experience can be equally persuasive to hiring managers.
Which companies hire entry level production supervisors?
Companies hiring entry level production supervisors right now include Pilgrim's, Georgia-Pacific, and Graham Packaging Company, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Both large manufacturers and mid-size regional facilities tend to recruit at this level, often targeting new graduates who can grow into senior roles within the organization.
Are there remote entry level production supervisor jobs?
Yes, though most production supervisor roles are on-site by nature. About 0% of entry level production supervisor openings are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, and these tend to involve coordination, scheduling, or quality-documentation functions rather than direct floor supervision. On-site roles remain the majority for candidates starting out in this field.
Are these new grad production supervisor jobs?
Yes, many of these openings are new grad and junior roles that explicitly welcome recent graduates and candidates with little or no prior supervisory experience. A new-grad-friendly posting typically lists zero to two years of experience as acceptable, counts internships or co-op placements toward that requirement, and may accept a strong academic project or portfolio in place of direct work history.
Which industries hire the most entry level production supervisors?
Entry Level production supervisor roles concentrate in Manufacturing, Food & Beverage, and Chemicals & Materials, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors maintain high production volumes and structured training programs, making them well-suited for junior candidates who are building foundational supervisory skills early in their careers.
