Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized POEM Program Coordinator to play a key role in supporting the delivery of POEM services. This primarily remote position coordinates program activities, facilitates communication, and helps ensure services are delivered effectively and consistently.

The Program Coordinator will provide direct peer support, assist with community outreach and engagement, coordinate program activities, and manage administrative responsibilities that support the day-to-day operations and continued growth of POEM. This is an opportunity to use your organizational skills and lived experience to support moms and families while contributing to the continued impact of POEM throughout the region.

Responsibilities

Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. This list provides a representative summary of the position’s major duties and responsibilities and is not exhaustive.

• Provide Peer CareConnect services directly to program participants
• Utilize skills and personal life experiences to aid in the growth and recovery of participants.
• Model values and practices with clients that POEM and POEM Rise have identified as supportive to the healing and recovery process
• Maintain ethical practices of peer support as outlined by the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health’s Peer Recovery Supporter Code of Ethics
• Facilitate at least one bi-weekly support group meeting and serve as a backup facilitator for at least one group as needed
• Maintain thorough and accurate daily documentation within the program database and complete quarterly database audits
• Maintain established referral, follow-up, and outcomes tracking processes
• Responsively handle incoming calls on the peer support line as assigned, approximately up to four times weekly.
• Coordinate the ongoing development and maintenance of provider referral pathways (incoming and outgoing) for the Central Ohio region, as well as the Ohio Behavioral Health Provider and Resource Directories.
• Conduct outreach and community engagement efforts to increase visibility, foster trust, and maintain POEM’s presence in this service area
• Assist in coordinating local volunteer recruitment, communications, recognition, and appreciation efforts as needed in collaboration with program management
• Coordinate community stakeholder communications in collaboration with program management
• Coordinate program educational activities, including tabling/presentations
• Participate in program events and activities
• Other Responsibilities

o Participate in agency events and activities, and work collaboratively with agency staff

o Other duties, within reason and scope of the position’s primary duties, may be assigned after consultation with the employee and supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

• Passion for mental health, comfortable discussing personal recovery
• Experience working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Solid organizational abilities with attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with database management; Experience with macOS
• Valid driver’s license or reliable means of transportation and state ID

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must meet eligibility as a peer supporter based on lived perinatal behavioral health experience in the past and demonstrated recovery
• High School Diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, or related field preferred

• Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while working at a computer in a remote office environment
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and operating standard office equipment
• Occasional lifting or moving of items up to 20 pounds, such as files, training, or tabling materials
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively through virtual platforms, phone, and email
• Periodic travel to other locations, which may require driving or using public transportation, and the ability to navigate various work settings
• Flexibility to adapt to different physical environments during support group meetings, including walking, standing, or sitting for varying lengths of time

SALARY

• $41,000-$45,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.NOTE
