Program Manager Jobs in Orlando: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a program manager job in Orlando?
Focus your search on Orlando's three biggest hiring sectors: healthcare systems anchored in Lake Nona and the Medical City district, defense and aerospace contractors near the UCF Research Park in east Orlando, and technology operations tied to the hospitality and theme park industry. Candidates who combine PMP certification with direct experience in at least one of these verticals stand out locally. Networking through the Project Management Institute's Central Florida chapter also puts you in front of hiring managers who work specifically in this market.
Which companies hire program managers in Orlando?
Companies currently hiring program managers in Orlando include Lockheed Martin, Motive, and Siemens Energy, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Orlando's employer mix is distinctive, drawing from large healthcare networks, federal defense contractors, hospitality conglomerates, and a growing cluster of SaaS and simulation technology firms tied to the UCF and Lake Nona innovation ecosystems.
Are there remote program manager jobs in Orlando?
Yes, though availability depends on the sector, since program managers in defense, healthcare operations, and on-site hospitality typically need to be present, while those supporting software delivery, IT infrastructure, or back-office operations often work remotely. About 20% of program manager openings tied to Orlando are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with most fully remote roles concentrated in technology and enterprise software. Hybrid arrangements are most common among Orlando's growing fintech and SaaS employers.
How can I get a program manager job in Orlando with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Orlando is moving laterally from a coordinator or analyst role within one of the city's dominant sectors. Healthcare systems in Lake Nona and defense contractors near the UCF Research Park regularly hire project coordinators who can grow into program management within one to two years. Earning a CAPM certification while in a coordinator role signals readiness to local employers. Orlando's simulation and modeling firms, which cluster around the National Center for Simulation, also hire candidates with technical backgrounds at the associate program manager level.
Which industries hire the most program managers in Orlando?
Orlando program manager roles concentrate in Food & Beverage, Hospitality & Tourism, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. This reflects Orlando's economic structure: the city hosts one of the largest hospital and life sciences clusters in the Southeast, a dense corridor of defense and simulation contractors tied to nearby military installations, and the global headquarters of major theme park and hospitality operations that run large technology and capital programs year-round.
