Organization Description:Since 2018, GSGBC has embraced trauma-informed care in its operations and service delivery to members and their families. Drawing from models like the Sanctuary Model, Missouri Model, and Conscious Discipline, the organization integrates trauma-informed principles into its culture and practices. Staff receive training to understand the impacts of trauma and effectively address related behaviors. The Conscious Discipline Model emphasizes safety, connection, and problem-solving, enhancing support for children’s emotional and behavioral needs. GSGBC is committed to fostering a supportive, empowering environment where members and families can thrive.

GSGBC offers afterschool and summer programming for youth ages 5-16, serving more than 700 youth annually. GSGBC supports youth development and holistic health with programs that include: Academics, Athletics, Character Building, Healthy Living, College & Career Readiness and The Arts. The Afterschool Program at St. Frances Cabrini runs August through May, 3:00 – 6:00 pm.

Schedule:

The Youth Services Program Manager at St. Frances Cabrini Academy (SFCA) works approximately 20 hours per week through the school year, with an anticipated schedule of 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Monday – Friday.When SFCA dismisses early (approximately one time per month, generally on Fridays) the afterschool program starts at 1:00 pm, and the Program Manager will arrive at 12:00 pm.The program will follow SFCA’s school calendar, no afterschool program will run on days when SFCA is closed to children. This is a ten-month position employed August through May.

Primary Function:

The Youth Services Program Manager is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and management of the day-to-day program operations and staffing of the following program areas: Academics, Athletics, Character Building, Healthy Living, College & Career Readiness and The Arts. The Youth Services Program Manager embodies passion for the organization and mission. In collaboration with the Director of Programs, the Program Manager ensures the implementation of high-impact programs, effective member recruitment and program marketing and safe facilities and procedures.

Key Roles (Essential Responsibilities):

Instructional Features

· Ensure quality implementation of all five program areas offered at GSGBC

· Ensure the implementation of a variety of activities across all five program areas

· Support youth development through the creation and implementation of programming which supports youth development

· Ensure all academic, enrichment, and socialization activities are engaging, developmentally appropriate, meet student needs, and respect cultural diversity

Program Organization (Management)

· Create and implement a clear mission statement that communicates the club’s philosophy and goals to youth, parents, and the Saint Louis community

Program Organization (Evaluation)

· Responsible for the evaluation of program staff on a quarterly basis

· Responsible for the evaluation of program activities based on student engagement, stated student and parent outcomes

· Responsible for implementing data driven continuous program improvement

Program Organization (Administration)

· Create, implement, and enforce program policies

Positive Relationships:

· Promote a culture of health, wellness, social well-being, and safety throughout the Club through activities and special events

· Actively participate in all training sessions and meetings

· Work collaboratively with peers and supervision

· Ensure that youth development principles are incorporated into all program activities

· Understand and communicate the Club’s philosophy and goals to youth, parents, and community

· Provide a positive role model for youth

· Build and sustain relationships with youth, parents, and staff

Facility Management:

· Report building needs and issues to Director of Programs or School Principal

Qualifications

• Currently have or the ability to obtain Department of Elementary & Secondary Education Center Director Certification for licensed capacity of up to 99 children, which requires: Ninety (90) college semester credits with eighteen (18) of the credits in child related courses, OR three (3) years experience with eighteen (18) college semester credits in child-related courses
• High School diploma or equivalent, required; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Social Work, or Psychology
• Minimum 3-5 years of frontline supervision experience required
• Group facilitation and/or consultation experience, and previous experience within a youth serving organization, elementary or middle school or similar social service agency
• Knowledge of and significant experience with youth development best practices
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work well as a leader/member of a team

· Able to problem solve and process through critical thinking

· Microsoft Office Suite proficiency and general computer skills required

· Committed to uphold professional relationships and standards

· Self-motivated and capable of independent work

· Sensitivity, appreciation and commitment to socioeconomic, cultural and racial diversity and LGBTQIA+

· Must have reliable transportation

· Must pass the health and employment requirements set by Department of Elementary & Secondary Education as a condition of employment

Pay: $25.00 per hour
