Program Manager Jobs in Seattle: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a program manager job in Seattle?
Seattle's strongest hiring comes from large technology companies in South Lake Union and the Eastside, aerospace firms near Renton and Everett, and health systems concentrated downtown and in First Hill. Candidates with experience managing cross-functional teams, Agile delivery, or hardware development cycles stand out here. Familiarity with cloud platform environments and vendor management gives applicants a concrete edge in Seattle's dominant tech and aerospace sectors.
Which companies hire program managers in Seattle?
Seattle program manager roles are posted by Amazon, Meta, and Amazon Web Services and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Seattle's hiring is driven by a mix of global technology headquarters, major aerospace manufacturers, regional health systems, and a growing base of mid-size software companies that have relocated or expanded into the metro area.
Are there remote program manager jobs in Seattle?
Yes, program management is well-suited to remote and hybrid arrangements because the core work is coordination and communication rather than on-site presence. About 40% of program manager openings tied to Seattle are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly Seattle's tech employers have adopted flexible work policies. Portfolio and technical program manager roles at cloud-focused companies tend to offer the most location flexibility.
How can I get a program manager job in Seattle with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Seattle is moving laterally from a coordinator, associate project manager, or operations analyst role at one of the city's mid-size software or health-tech companies, where program management teams are smaller and more willing to develop talent internally. Seattle's retail technology and logistics sector also hires junior program coordinators who can grow into full program manager roles. Earning a PMP or completing an Agile certification noticeably strengthens applications at Seattle's more structured tech and aerospace employers.
Which industries hire the most program managers in Seattle?
Seattle program manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Seattle's position as a headquarters city for major cloud computing platforms and one of the country's largest aerospace manufacturers creates unusually deep and sustained demand for program managers compared to most U.S. metro areas.
