Project Administrator Jobs in Atlanta: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a project administrator job in Atlanta?
Target Atlanta's three busiest hiring sectors: construction and real estate development, healthcare systems, and enterprise technology. Jobs concentrate in Midtown around the tech corridor, Buckhead's corporate offices, and Cumberland-Galleria for contractors and engineering firms. Candidates who stand out combine scheduling or document control experience with proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Smartsheet, or Microsoft Project, all common tool requirements in the Atlanta market.
Which companies hire project administrators in Atlanta?
Companies currently hiring project administrators in Atlanta include DMI, Emory University, and 4P Consulting, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's employer mix skews toward large hospital systems, regional construction contractors, and Fortune 500 technology companies with major operations in the city.
Are there remote project administrator jobs in Atlanta?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the role. Project administrator work tied to active construction sites or lab environments is almost always on-site, while administrative and reporting-focused roles in technology and finance are frequently remote. About 18% of project administrator openings tied to Atlanta are remote or hybrid as of June 2026. Technology and financial services employers in Midtown and Buckhead post the highest share of flexible arrangements.
How can I get a project administrator job in Atlanta with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Atlanta is through construction and real estate firms that hire project coordinators or document control clerks as stepping-stone roles. Large hospital systems like Emory Healthcare and Grady Health also bring on administrative project support staff for capital improvement programs. Building familiarity with Procore or Smartsheet before applying, and completing a CAPM or Google Project Management certificate, gives entry-level candidates a concrete edge with Atlanta hiring managers.
Which industries hire the most project administrators in Atlanta?
Most project administrator openings in Atlanta sit in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Manufacturing, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's role as a regional hub for commercial construction, a major healthcare employment center, and a growing technology sector creates consistent demand for project administrative support across all three areas.
