Project Coordinator Construction

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
TempExperts is seeking a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support estimating and project teams for a busy construction company located in Tampa, FL. This role will assist with preconstruction activities, construction document control, subcontractor coordination, procurement tracking, RFIs, and the transition of awarded projects into active construction.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in commercial construction, estimating, preconstruction, or project coordination, along with strong Procore skills and the ability to understand plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Assist estimators with bid preparation, quantity takeoffs, scope reviews, subcontractor and vendor solicitation, bid leveling, and assembling pricing information.
- Review plans, specifications, renovation scopes, finish schedules, and other project documents to identify missing information, conflicts, or discrepancies.
- Upload and maintain drawings, specifications, addenda, revisions, RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation in Procore.
- Maintain current drawing sets and help ensure project teams are working from the latest revisions.
- Assist with setting up new projects and maintaining organized project documentation within Procore.
- Identify and solicit qualified subcontractors in project markets, distribute bid packages and drawings, track responses, and follow up on outstanding proposals.
- Review subcontractor bids to help ensure proposals address the complete project scope.
- Assist Estimators and Project Managers with identifying construction-document conflicts, unclear details, and missing information.
- Prepare, submit, and track RFIs and coordinate responses from architects, designers, ownership groups, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
- Assist with transitioning awarded projects from estimating/preconstruction to the Project Manager and Superintendent.
- Organize contracts, drawings, scopes, budgets, schedules, subcontractor information, and outstanding preconstruction items during project turnover.
- Assist with identifying materials and equipment with potential long lead times.
- Track material selections, approvals, and procurement activities to help prevent project delays.
- Support procurement for renovation projects, including FF&E, flooring, millwork, doors and hardware, lighting, plumbing fixtures, and related materials.
- Maintain project logs, meeting notes, project files, subcontractor lists, bid comparisons, schedules, and tracking reports.
- Assist Project Managers with change documentation, submittals, procurement tracking, project correspondence, and other project support as needed.
Requirements:
- Construction industry experience in preconstruction, estimating, project coordination, or a closely related role.
- Strong working knowledge of Procore and construction document control.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, scopes of work, finish schedules, and related project documents.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, bid packages, proposals, or procurement activities.
- Understanding of RFIs, submittals, change documentation, project turnover, and construction project workflows.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, documents, and priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Local to the Tampa area and able to work onsite Monday–Friday.
