Job Description

Seeking a Project Manager with strong sales experience to oversee mechanical projects from start to finish while driving client relationships and new business opportunities.

This role combines technical project management expertise with business development skills — ideal for a professional who can manage project execution while identifying and closing sales opportunities. The Project Manager will work closely with clients, engineers, and field teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining the highest level of service and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage plumbing and HVAC projects from design to completion.
• Oversee field operations, subcontractors, and materials to ensure high-quality performance and adherence to NYC codes.
• Prepare schedules, budgets, and progress reports; monitor costs and approve change orders.
• Conduct regular site visits and project meetings to ensure milestones are met.
• Ensure compliance with NYC DOB, DEP, and FDNY regulations.
• Manage close-out documentation and ensure client satisfaction post-project.

Sales & Business Development:

• Generate leads through networking, referrals, and client relationships.
• Prepare and present project proposals, estimates, and bid packages.
• Follow up on open bids and close contracts in coordination with management.
• Build long-term relationships with building owners, property managers, and general contractors.
• Identify opportunities to upsell service, maintenance, and future project work.
• Represent the company professionally in all sales and client interactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in plumbing or HVAC project management.
• Proven sales or estimating experience within the mechanical construction or service industry.
• Deep understanding of NYC building codes, DOB permitting, and mechanical system design.
• Strong budgeting, estimating, and project scheduling abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and project management software (ServiceTitan experience a plus).
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel to sites throughout NYC.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Salary: $90,000-$145,000
