TheGuarantors is a fintech company helping multifamily owners and operators mitigate leasing risk while expanding access for renters. With a deep understanding of owner, operator, and renter needs, we believe renters deserve better access to the home of their choice and operators deserve greater protection and growth opportunities. That’s why we’re leveraging our real estate expertise and using AI-driven renter underwriting to help operators qualify renters faster while mitigating the financial risk of renter default. With $7B+ in lease value protected, we work with 9 of the country’s top 10 operators, are the #1 lease guarantee provider nationwide, and have consistently been named one of Inc. 5000’s fastest-growing companies, one of Forbes’ Best Startup Employers, and one of Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500.
The Team
The Commercial Strategy & Revenue Operations team exists to solve some of TheGuarantors' highest-priority commercial challenges. We identify opportunities to grow the business, develop strategies to capture them, and work across the organization to turn those strategies into measurable results.
Our work spans every part of the commercial organization. We partner closely with Sales, Product, Risk, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to improve how we serve customers, launch new initiatives, strengthen our go-to-market strategy, and build the capabilities that enable the business to scale. Because our work cuts across functions, success depends on building trusted partnerships, influencing without formal authority, and aligning teams around a common goal.
We aren't an internal consulting team. We own initiatives from strategy through execution and are accountable for the impact they create. The people who thrive here are comfortable with ambiguity, motivated by ownership, and excited to solve difficult business problems.
The Opportunity
As a Commercial Strategy Associate focused on AM (Account Management) Strategy, you'll help shape how TheGuarantors grows its existing customer relationships and how our Account Management organization serves them.
Our customer base represents a significant source of future growth, but capturing that opportunity requires making thoughtful choices about where we invest, how we segment and serve different customers, and how we identify and pursue opportunities for deeper engagement. You'll develop the strategies and operating approaches that help our Account Managers focus on the highest-impact opportunities and turn strong customer relationships into sustained commercial growth.
This role is designed for someone who wants to move beyond analysis and become an operator. You'll work directly with Account Managers and AM leadership, analyze customer and portfolio performance, and own initiatives from strategy through execution. Over time, you'll also develop firsthand relationships with customers—joining important client discussions and business reviews to better understand their priorities and translate those insights into better commercial strategies.
Your success will ultimately be measured by whether the strategies and initiatives you help build make our Account Management organization more effective and create better outcomes for our customers and TheGuarantors.
This is a hybrid role based in NYC.

- Develop and improve the strategies, tools, and operating approaches that support effective customer planning, business reviews, executive engagement, and growth initiatives
- Develop a firsthand understanding of customer priorities by joining client discussions and business reviews, and translate those insights into broader commercial strategies and improvements

Strategy Associate Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategy associate in New York?
Most strategy associate roles in New York require a bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a closely related field, with an MBA strongly preferred at larger firms and banks. There is no state-issued license for this role, but New York employers consistently prioritize candidates who have come through consulting, investment banking, or rotational corporate programs. Top consulting firms and financial institutions in New York City recruit heavily from business schools and run structured analyst programs that serve as a direct pipeline into strategy associate positions.
Which companies hire strategy associates in New York?
Employers hiring strategy associates in New York right now include JPMorganChase, DoorDash, and Uber, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. New York's density of Fortune 500 headquarters, global banks, and management consulting offices makes it one of the deepest markets for this role in the country.
Which New York cities have the most strategy associate jobs?
New York, Bronx, and Prince account for the largest share of strategy associate openings in New York. New York City drives the overwhelming majority of demand given its concentration of global consulting firms, investment banks, and corporate headquarters, while White Plains and nearby Westchester County contribute a steady stream of openings from large regional and national companies that have placed their corporate strategy functions outside Manhattan.
Are there remote strategy associate jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. Strategy associates work primarily with data, presentations, and stakeholder meetings, which makes the role well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 55% of strategy associate openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how broadly New York employers have maintained flexible arrangements for analytical and planning roles since shifting workplace norms took hold. Client-facing project work and senior stakeholder alignment tend to be the parts most likely to require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a strategy associate in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a structured rotational or analyst program at a major New York employer. Firms like McKinsey, Deloitte, and large New York-based banks and insurers run analyst cohorts specifically designed for recent graduates. Lateral moves from financial analysis, business operations, or project management roles are common and well-recognized. A strong academic record in economics, finance, or a quantitative field, combined with case interview preparation, gives candidates without direct strategy experience a credible foundation when applying to these programs in New York.
