TMR Mental Health Care PC is seeking a psychiatrist to provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management in an outpatient private practice setting. We strongly prefer a clinician who can see patients in person at our Hackensack, New Jersey location.

This opportunity offers flexibility in setting your appointment schedule, administrative support, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team. We are looking for a clinician who values evidence-based treatment, clear communication, and coordinated patient care.

About the Opportunity

• Independent contractor position: Earn $200 per billable hour for direct, documented patient care.
• Flexible scheduling: Set your appointment days and times in coordination with office availability and patient needs.
• Administrative support: Receive assistance with prior authorizations, patient paperwork, and documentation requests, with your clinical review and approval as needed.
• Collaborative care: Work alongside psychotherapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to support comprehensive treatment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans, including medication management and brief psychotherapeutic interventions.
• Monitor treatment response and adjust care plans as clinically appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and complete electronic health records, finalizing clinical notes within 24 hours of each session.
• Respond to staff communications about patient care, medication questions, and refill requests within 24 hours, including outside scheduled appointment days.
• Collaborate with the patient’s care team to promote continuity of care.
• Uphold patient confidentiality, professional ethics, and applicable clinical and regulatory standards.
• Participate in peer review and quality improvement activities as required.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree and completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program.
• Current, unrestricted New Jersey medical license.
• Board certification or board eligibility in psychiatry.
• Strong skills in psychopharmacology, differential diagnosis, and individualized treatment planning.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to timely documentation and responsive patient care.
• Availability to provide in-person services at our Hackensack location strongly preferred.

Compensation Details

Compensation is $200 per billable hour of patient care.
