SUMMARY
Lead quality where it matters most. As a Quality Assurance Lead, you will guide QA processes and team members to ensure every product meets the highest standards for quality and food safety. You will play a key role in monitoring production, supporting compliance, coaching team members, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader who is passionate about food safety, team development, and delivering products customers can trust every day.
SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
PRINCIPAL ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and train QA team members.
- Implement and monitor QA programs (HACCP, SSOPs).
- Conduct quality and safety audits.
- Analyze data, identify trends, and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with production team to resolve issues.
- Maintain regulatory compliance (USDA, FDA).
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School or equivalent is beneficial but not required.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 2+ years QA experience in poultry/manufacturing processing.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, SSOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Leadership and training skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
When in a plant environment:
- Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
- May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
- May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
- May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 dB to 110 dB.
- May be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
- You must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
- Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm.
- Able to stand for several hours.
- Work may include lifting (up to 50 lbs.), reaching, bending, pushing boxes on conveyor assembly.
