Job Summary
HP PageWide Industrial is seeking a PWP Test Engineer to support end‑to‑end system validation of our industrial printing solutions. This role focuses on executing structured test plans across software, hardware, and firmware to ensure product quality, reliability, and release readiness, aligned with HP’s System Test strategy.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed test plans and test cases aligned to program requirements and quality objectives
- Develop and execute comprehensive test suites for assigned functional and system-level test areas
- Execute tests on the IHPS / PageWide Platform (PWP) solution to ensure full test coverage
- Perform hands-on validation across software, hardware, and firmware components
- Monitor in‑process test execution and identify deviations from expected behavior
- Log, track, and clearly communicate anomalies, defects, and process deviations
- Collaborate with System Test, Development, and Operations teams to support defect resolution and continuous quality improvement
- Follow HP test methodologies and the responsible use of AI-assisted tools where applicable
Technical Skills
- Strong working knowledge of Linux-based systems
- Experience with system-level testing (software, hardware, firmware)
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to interpret written procedures, diagrams, schedules, and verbal instructions
- Demonstrated ability to learn new systems, tools, and test environments quickly
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-isolation skills across software, hardware, and firmware components
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical system concepts sufficient to support high‑level system testing and issue identification

- Flexible and adaptable in a fast‑paced test environment

Education & Experience
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in systems engineering, computer programming language, or a related field or an advanced degree with little or no work experience.
