ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review requirements with project teams for testability.
- Conduct test case reviews to ensure business requirement coverage.
- Create and maintain requirement and test case traceability using HP ALM. Author test scenarios and test cases utilizing use cases, wireframes and business requirements.
- Execute functional, integration and regression test.
- Identify, confirm and report defects in an understandable and reproducible way.
- Analyze test results looking for defect trends.
- Integrate new functional test into the regression test set.
- Identify repeatable test steps and flag for test component creation.
- Create repeatable test components using HP ALM.
- Proactively escalates issues, problems, and status to management.
- Track and monitor assigned projects.
- Proactively offer testing and QA process improvement recommendations.
- Provide accurate and complete test documentation and reports in a timely manner.
- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment.
- Research tools, methods and technology trends to support testing objectives.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Minimum of 2+ years experience in a software QA/QC environment
- Minimum of 1+ years experience with web-based application testing
- Experienced in functional test design, execution, and analysis.
- Thorough understanding of development and testing life cycles (SDLC/STLC).
- Knowledge of industry standard test practices and strategies.
- Experience developing test data.
- Ability to communicate using both technical and non-technical "layman’s" terms to an audience.
- Ability to execute pre-written SQL scripts.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Applied Mathematics
