Quality Assurance Engineer Jobs in Tennessee

Family Brands is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to support our food manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on, floor-based QA role focused on product quality, food safety, accurate documentation, and production practices.

Food manufacturing experience is preferred. Previous QA experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

What You’ll Do

• Perform product and process inspections throughout production
• Check product temperatures, weights, labels, and other specifications
• Collect product samples and assist with QA testing
• Verify and create product labels and work with the QA Lead as needed
• Identify, segregate, and report product that does not meet requirements
• Calibrate thermometers, scales, and other QA equipment
• Complete required QA and food safety documentation accurately
• Monitor GMP and food safety practices on the production floor
• Work with Production when corrective action is needed and escalate concerns appropriately
• Support HACCP, SQF, GMP, and other food safety requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Food manufacturing, production, or QA experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation
• Dependable and able to work independently
• Comfortable speaking up when a product or process does not meet requirements
• Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn and apply GMP, HACCP, SQF, and food safety requirements
• Comfortable working in a refrigerated and noisy manufacturing environment

Preferred Experience

• Previous Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience
• Experience in a USDA, FDA, or SQF-certified food manufacturing facility
• Familiarity with food safety documentation, inspections, or audit

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays
• Refrigerated food manufacturing environment
• Standing and walking throughout the shift, with bending and stooping as needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required
• Overtime may be available
• Reliable transportation required
