Quality Assurance Manager Jobs in Arizona: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a quality assurance manager in Arizona?
Most quality assurance manager roles in Arizona require a bachelor's degree in engineering, a physical science, or a related technical field, combined with several years of progressive quality experience. Arizona does not issue a state license specific to quality assurance managers, but employers in regulated industries such as aerospace and medical devices strongly prefer candidates who hold an ASQ Certified Quality Manager or Certified Quality Engineer credential, which can be obtained through the American Society for Quality.
How much do quality assurance managers make in Arizona?
Quality assurance managers in Arizona earn a median of about $124,810 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $79,410 for the lowest 10% to over $199,440 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire quality assurance managers in Arizona?
Employers hiring quality assurance managers in Arizona right now include DHL, FujiFilm, and Blue Spire, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Arizona's concentration of aerospace primes, semiconductor fabs, and FDA-regulated medical device manufacturers means demand for quality leadership roles remains consistent throughout the year.
Which Arizona cities have the most quality assurance manager jobs?
Phoenix, Tempe, and Tucson have the most quality assurance manager openings in Arizona. The Phoenix metro drives most of the volume through its dense cluster of semiconductor, aerospace, and healthcare manufacturing facilities, while Tucson's strong defense and optics sector and Chandler's semiconductor corridor generate steady openings in those specialized areas.
Are there remote quality assurance manager jobs in Arizona?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely desk-based fields, because quality assurance managers often need to be on the production floor to conduct audits, oversee processes, and respond to nonconformances. About 26% of quality assurance manager openings tied to Arizona are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those positions tend to be in supplier quality oversight, documentation and compliance review, or quality systems consulting roles that don't require a daily physical presence.
How can I get hired as a quality assurance manager in Arizona with little or no experience?
The most realistic path is to enter through a quality technician, quality inspector, or manufacturing engineer role at a large Arizona employer such as Intel, Honeywell, or a Banner Health supply chain operation, then build your way into management. Pursuing an ASQ Certified Quality Improvement Associate credential demonstrates foundational knowledge and gives your application a measurable edge. Many Arizona aerospace and semiconductor manufacturers also run rotational engineering programs and structured quality trainee tracks that are explicitly designed for candidates early in their careers.
Where can I find and apply to quality assurance manager jobs in Arizona?
