Quality Control Manager Jobs in Los Angeles: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a quality control manager job in Los Angeles?
Target the sectors that drive the most openings locally: aerospace and defense contractors in El Segundo and Hawthorne, food manufacturing and distribution hubs in Vernon and Commerce, and medical device companies in Chatsworth and Thousand Oaks. Candidates with experience in regulated industries, particularly FDA-regulated manufacturing or AS9100 aerospace quality systems, stand out. Networking through local manufacturing associations and the South Bay Workforce Investment Board also opens doors.
Which companies hire quality control managers in Los Angeles?
Employers hiring quality control managers in Los Angeles right now include QIMA, Motorola Solutions, and Linde, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Los Angeles draws a wide range of employer types, from major aerospace primes and their Tier 1 suppliers to regional food processors, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and consumer goods companies with West Coast operations.
Are there remote quality control manager jobs in Los Angeles?
Yes, though with real limits: quality control management is largely hands-on, and most roles require regular presence on a production floor or at a supplier facility. About 25% of quality control manager openings tied to Los Angeles are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, typically in documentation-heavy or supplier-audit functions. Industries like software quality assurance and vendor compliance in entertainment or consumer tech offer the most flexibility.
How can I get a quality control manager job in Los Angeles with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Los Angeles is moving up from a quality control inspector or technician role at a local manufacturer, particularly in aerospace, food production, or medical devices where companies regularly promote from within. Entry-level quality roles at contract manufacturers in the City of Industry or quality coordinator positions at distribution centers near the Port of Long Beach are common starting points. Certifications like the ASQ Certified Quality Technician strengthen early-career applications significantly.
