Position Summary
The Quality Technician will inspect product according to specifications and standards. Document non conformances and work with associates to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct audits and assist in analyzing data to identify corrective and preventive improvements
- Assist in 8D and 5Why investigations of issues
- Read and interpret the requirements of drawings
- Analyze drawing requirements and make sound determination(s) of the appropriate inspection method/equipment to be used for product acceptance
- Use inspection equipment (ID/OD mics, calipers, various other gages) in determining product acceptance
- Initiate and complete all quality (Inspection) related records and documents with minimal supervision
Experience and Skill Required
- A minimum of 4 years of Quality experience in an ISO 9001 manufacturing setting
- Basic knowledge of ASME-Y14.5 (Geometric Tolerance) and ability to apply/inspect to requirements with minimal supervision
- Able to lift 30lbs
- Ability to support PPAP sample inspection
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience with SAP MRP system preferred but not required
