Syntegon Packaging Technology, LLC based in New Richmond, Wisconsin is part of the Syntegon Group. We provide innovative, seamless, high-tech packaging solutions for the food industry. The location specializes in a range of packaging equipment solutions - like horizontal flow wrappers, bag closing and sealers, and robotic pick-place-machines. Job Description
The ideal candidate will blend analysis with hands-on execution to help our teams build machines on time. Working with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations, you'll improve forecasts, right-size inventory, and keep production moving—all while minimizing excess and working capital.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain inventory planning models (safety stock, reorder points, lot sizes) based on demand variability, lead times, and service-level goals; translate engineering releases into clean product structures and material plans aligned with sourcing strategy and project milestones.
- Monitor assembly orders and material availability to keep builds on schedule; flag risks early and drive mitigations through expedites, substitutions, and reallocations.
- Collaborate with Sales and Purchasing to optimize inventory levels that achieve on-time delivery while minimizing excess and obsolescence; process engineering change notices (ECNs) and allocate materials for post-release part additions.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities across planning, procurement, and material flow to enhance efficiency and inventory turns.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proven ability to navigate ambiguity and incomplete data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling) with the ability to produce clear, actionable analyses.
- Foundational understanding of bills of material (BOMs), product structures, and MRP principles.
- Working knowledge of inventory planning techniques (e.g., safety stock, reorder points, lot sizing).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; capable of translating quantitative findings into clear recommendations for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Self-directed with strong time management skills; able to prioritize and execute in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems; familiarity with MRP exceptions and master data maintenance.
- Experience with Power BI or similar analytics tools.
- APICS/ASCM certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP).
- Experience in manufacturing, production control, or assembly environments.
