Supply Chain Analyst Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a supply chain analyst in New York?
Supply chain analyst roles in New York do not require a state-issued license. Employers typically expect a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, logistics, or operations. From there, the most direct path is gaining experience through internships or entry-level coordinator roles, then pursuing professional credentials such as the APICS CSCP or CPIM, which are widely recognized by New York employers in retail, consumer goods, and logistics.
How much do supply chain analysts make in New York?
Supply chain analysts in New York earn a median of about $88,240 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $60,370 for the lowest 10% to over $136,940 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire supply chain analysts in New York?
Employers hiring supply chain analysts in New York right now include City of New York, Foot Locker, and Amazon, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's concentration of global retail headquarters, consumer packaged goods companies, and major distribution operations keeps demand for this role consistently high across the state.
Which New York cities have the most supply chain analyst jobs?
New York, Brooklyn, and Syracuse have the most supply chain analyst openings in New York. New York City dominates due to its density of retail headquarters, financial services firms, and global logistics providers, while Buffalo and Albany attract demand from regional distribution networks, healthcare systems, and manufacturing operations with significant procurement functions.
Are there remote supply chain analyst jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields, since supply chain analyst work is primarily analytical and data-driven rather than tied to a physical facility. About 17% of supply chain analyst openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026. Roles focused on demand planning, reporting, and data modeling tend to offer the most location flexibility, while positions involving warehouse oversight or direct vendor coordination are more likely to require an on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a supply chain analyst in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an operations coordinator, logistics coordinator, or purchasing assistant role at a New York-area retailer, consumer goods company, or third-party logistics provider. Large New York employers in those sectors regularly hire new graduates into rotational or associate analyst programs. Building proficiency in Excel and a widely used ERP system, and earning an entry-level APICS credential, gives candidates without direct analyst experience a measurable advantage in the application process.
Where can I find and apply to supply chain analyst jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to supply chain analyst jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings for roles that match your experience and location, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
