Position Objective

The Warehouse Associate IV acts as a working Lead/Supervisor, and provides daily leadership of people and direction for warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory, efficient material flow, and timely support for production and service teams. This role actively manages and develops the warehouse team while driving a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. By leveraging data-driven decision-making and best practices, the Warehouse Associate IV improves processes, reduces waste, and aligns warehouse operations with Aries Industries’ strategic objectives and core values. Success in this role requires strong communication, emotional intelligence, adaptability, and the ability to build positive, collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization while maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and engaging work environment.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

1. Lead and Manage Warehouse Associate Team

• Supervise, train, and coach warehouse staff to ensure high performance and accountability.
• Monitor workloads, prioritize tasks, and adjust staffing as needed to meet operational demands.
• Establish measurable goals for accuracy, productivity, and safety, aligned with department metrics.
• Set clear expectations for attendance and punctuality, monitoring adherence and addressing attendance issues promptly to support operational needs.

2. Inventory Accuracy and Control

• Oversee cycle counting, physical inventory, and reconciliation processes.
• Maintain accurate system transactions and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Achieve and maintain inventory accuracy goals, discrepancy resolution within established timeframes, and timely reporting using ERP tools.
• Ensure materials are managed using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices and inventory best practices to minimize obsolescence, support material traceability, and maintain quality standards.

3. Strategic Material Management

• Familiar with Point of Use inventory strategy.
• Collaborate with planning, production, and purchasing teams to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules.
• Optimize material handling, storage, and replenishment processes to reduce waste, support FIFO practices, and improve efficiency throughout the material flow.
• Participate in SIOP/S&OP meetings as needed, providing material status updates to align warehouse operations with forecasted demand and production plans.
• Oversee all warehouse material handling activities, including picking kitting, receiving, and shipping processes to ensure accurate and timely support for production and service teams.
• Coordinate shipment preparation, staging, loading and adherence to shipping schedules.
• Manage receiving processes, ensuring materials are received accurately, inspected, and transacted promptly in the ERP system while communicating discrepancies or damages to appropriate teams.
• Address transportation issues, shipment delays, or damage claims with carriers and internal teams.
• Manage the international shipping process, ensuring accurate documentation, export compliance, and coordination with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Oversee internal driving and pickup service, coordinating schedules and facilitating timely retrieval and delivery of materials between suppliers and customers to support production and service operations.
• Organize and load materials into designated bins, boxes, and containers to support efficient storage and retrieval.
• Process material requests, issuing materials to departments and accurately transacting inventory quantities in the ERP system to reflect material transfers.
• Manage the issuance process by printing and distributing pick lists and job travelers to support production and service orders.

4. Process Improvement

• Identify and implement improvements in layout, processes, and systems to enhance warehouse effectiveness.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean projects.
• Use data-driven analysis from Epicor, Power BI and Excel to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Use Power BI to develop visual dashboards for monitoring inventory accuracy, cycle count completion, and material movement trends.
• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse performance, such as cycle count completion rates, inventory accuracy, and material movement efficiency, and develop corrective actions as needed to support continuous improvement.
• Provide weekly and monthly reports on inventory accuracy, cycle count progress, material discrepancies, and material movement trends to the Production & Inventory Control Manager to support informed decision-making.
• Facilitate stand-up meetings with the warehouse team to review KPIs, discuss challenges, identify improvement opportunities, and drive accountability.
• Take ownership of targets to improve (TTI) initiatives within the warehouse by identifying process bottlenecks, developing action plans, and monitoring progress against TTI goals.
• Improve transportation and carrier management processes to reduce costs, improve delivery performance, and support overall material flow efficiency.

5. Safety and Compliance

• Ensure safe handling, storage, and movement of materials in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse environment.
• Maintain organized stock locations and labeling to support FIFO practices and efficient material retrieval.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, proper documentation for hazardous materials (if applicable), and adherence to company transportation policies.
• Comply with international shipping regulations while maintaining accurate records for audit readiness.
• Verify that internal drivers follow company safety policies, maintain vehicles properly, and comply with applicable driving regulations.

6. Cross-functional Collaboration

• Support Engineering, Production, and Service teams with timely parts fulfillment.
• Participate in meetings to align warehouse activities with production and service needs.
• Collaborate with planning, production and continuous improvement teams to align warehouse TTI initiatives with broader operational throughput goals.

7. People Development

• Actively develop team members through mentoring, feedback, and support, identifying growth opportunities aligned with individual strengths and business needs.
• Identify training needs and facilitate cross-training to build flexibility and strength within the team.
• Conduct regular one-on-one check-ins to discuss performance, goals, and development opportunities, ensuring team members understand how their work contributes to company objectives.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or materials management role in a manufacturing environment.
• 1+ years in a leadership or team leader capacity, with demonstrated people management skills.
• Proficiency with ERP or inventory management systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to read and interpret part drawings and bills of materials.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across functional boundaries.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate material handling equipment safely.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Associate degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or materials management role in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years in a leadership or team leader capacity, with demonstrated people management skills.
• Certifications related to warehouse management, inventory control, lean manufacturing, or materials management (CSCP, Lean Six Sigma) are a plus.
• Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
• Familiarity with SIOP/S&OP environments.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI
• ERP system experience (Epicor preferred).
• Understanding of Kanban, Lean, and Six Sigma practices.
• Forklift experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and communicate verbally.
• Occasionally required to use hands to handle tools, controls, or objects.
• Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color perception, and focus adjustment
