Radiologic Technologist Jobs in Raleigh: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a radiologic technologist job in Raleigh?
Focus your search on Raleigh's hospital campuses, the growing belt of outpatient imaging centers along Six Forks Road and Glenwood Avenue, and the urgent care networks expanding across Wake County. Candidates with experience in CT, MRI, or fluoroscopy stand out here because the Triangle's aging population drives constant demand for cross-trained techs. Applying directly through hospital career portals and building familiarity with Epic-integrated imaging workflows gives you a concrete edge over applicants from outside the market.
Which companies hire radiologic technologists in Raleigh?
Employers hiring radiologic technologists in Raleigh right now include WakeMed Health & Hospitals, WakeMed, and UNC Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Raleigh's hiring landscape is anchored by large health systems with multiple campus locations and a dense network of independently owned outpatient imaging and orthopedic specialty clinics.
Are there remote radiologic technologist jobs in Raleigh?
Yes, but options are limited because most radiologic technologist work requires direct patient contact and on-site equipment. About 0% of radiologic technologist openings tied to Raleigh are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and the roles that do allow remote work are typically in teleradiology quality review or scheduling coordination rather than hands-on imaging.
How can I get a radiologic technologist job in Raleigh with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Raleigh is through clinical extern or new-grad programs at the area's large hospital systems, which regularly take on ARRT-eligible candidates completing their final rotations. Urgent care chains expanding across Wake County also hire entry-level techs for general radiography roles, which build the volume experience that hospital employers later want. Completing a clinical rotation at a Raleigh-area facility before graduation is the single biggest local advantage, since hiring managers prioritize candidates they have already worked alongside.
Which industries hire the most radiologic technologists in Raleigh?
The sectors hiring the most radiologic technologists in Raleigh are Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Raleigh's rapid population growth and the concentration of specialized medical practices near the Research Triangle Park corridor keep those sectors in a near-constant hiring posture for imaging staff.
