Job Summary
As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you’ll provide compassionate, evidence-based care to clients across appropriate age groups and care settings. You’ll conduct mental health assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver individual, group, family, and telehealth therapy. Your approach may draw on psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma-focused therapy, and other methods suited to each client.

Responsibilities
- Complete intake, diagnostic evaluation, and patient assessment; document findings and treatment plans in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
- Provide clinical counseling, child and family counseling, grief and addiction counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral health support as appropriate.
- Use evidence-based practice and clinical documentation standards; follow Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements and clinical ethical guidelines.
- Coordinate case management and direct support with clients, families, and care teams; communicate clearly and manage crises responsibly.
- Apply relevant International Classification of Diseases (ICD) coding, including ICD-9 and ICD-10, and maintain accurate medical records.
Requirements
- Current, applicable licensure as a clinical mental health counselor or clinical social worker; meet jurisdictional requirements for clinical practice.
- Clinical counseling experience, including psychotherapy, treatment planning, and clinical documentation.
- Experience working with children is important; experience in pediatrics, child and youth therapy, developmental disabilities, autism, or special education is valued.
- Preferred experience may include hospital, inpatient, outpatient, or clinic settings; telehealth therapy; co-occurring disorders; PTSD care; crisis management; and geriatrics.
- Additional relevant skills may include group therapy, applied behavior analysis, behavioral therapy, chronic pain counseling, art or dance therapy, psychodynamic therapy, research, data collection, medical terminology, and social work.
