Schedule:
- Full Time: Monday - Friday, with off shift visibility and on call 24/7 including weekends.

- Provide 24/7 leadership and accountability for strategic, operational, financial, and quality performance across assigned departments and a diverse portfolio of highly specialized pediatric and neonatal clinical services.
- Partner with physician, nursing, and administrative leaders to develop, execute, and continuously evaluate strategic and operational priorities.
- Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, safety, and continuous improvement that advances exceptional patient and family-centered care.
- Build, develop, and retain high-performing teams through effective recruitment, engagement, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Drive quality, safety, patient experience, workforce, and operational outcomes through the use of data, evidence-based practices, and performance improvement methodologies.
- Lead the development and refinement of care delivery models to support organizational goals and evolving patient care needs.
- Ensure effective stewardship of resources, including staffing, budgets, facilities, equipment, and operational systems.
- Champion shared governance and interdisciplinary collaboration while strengthening partnerships across the highly collaborative academic health system to achieve strategic objectives.
What you will need
- Bachelor or higher degree in Nursing and Master's Degree in related field.
- Five years of nursing experience is required, including at least 2 years of experience in a management role.
- Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
- BLS certification required.
- Ability to manage multiple organization missions.
- Facilitation, consensus-building, and negotiation skills.
- Sensitivity for and understanding of clinical disciplines and issues.
- Understanding of cost containment and managed care systems.
- Ability to work with all types of individuals in multiple settings and locations and to promote diversity in the workplace.
- Knowledge of necessary regulatory bodies, including the North Carolina Nurse Practice Act.
- Expert communication skills.
