Radiology Technologist Jobs in Charlotte: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a radiology technologist job in Charlotte?
Focus your search on Charlotte's large hospital campuses, the growing cluster of outpatient imaging centers along the South Corridor, and urgent care networks expanding across University City and Ballantyne. ARRT certification is a baseline expectation across virtually all Charlotte employers. Candidates with experience in CT, MRI, or fluoroscopy and a willingness to float between facilities tend to move faster through the hiring process in this market.
Which companies hire radiology technologists in Charlotte?
Employers hiring radiology technologists in Charlotte right now include Atrium Health, American Traveler, and Novant Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Charlotte's market includes large regional health systems, independent outpatient imaging groups, and multispecialty physician practices, all of which maintain ongoing hiring pipelines for imaging staff.
Are there remote radiology technologist jobs in Charlotte?
Yes, but with significant limits, since hands-on patient imaging requires on-site presence for most positions. About 0% of radiology technologist openings tied to Charlotte are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those roles tend to be in teleradiology reading, quality assurance, or imaging informatics rather than direct patient care.
How can I get a radiology technologist job in Charlotte with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Charlotte is completing a clinical practicum or externship with one of the area's health systems, since many convert students and recent grads into per-diem or staff roles after completion. Entry-level candidates often land first in general radiography at urgent care groups or outpatient imaging centers in areas like Steele Creek and Concord, then build toward cross-training in CT or MRI to increase full-time opportunities.
Which industries hire the most radiology technologists in Charlotte?
Charlotte radiology technologist roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Charlotte's position as a regional medical hub, combined with steady population growth in Mecklenburg and Union counties, keeps demand across these sectors consistently high.
