Position Summary
The CVS Health Commercial Rebate Optimization team has an opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Sr Mgr, Business Analytics. This position will be the main point of contact for analytic and dashboarding needs in order to support the Zinc contract negotiators.
In this high impact role, you will develop analyses, dashboards, processes, and tools to deliver actionable insights to leadership within the CVS Trade organization. You will be responsible for consolidating data requirements and asks across the Trade organization to develop a centralized data repository and providing information and reports to support leadership requests as needed.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Recommend, design, develop, and maintain measurement dashboards: Develop the necessary reporting, data and dashboards to measure current state of the organization.
- Research and analyze the impact of complex business issues associated with the pharmaceutical market, including market dynamics, product pipelines, and regulatory considerations
- Explore, examine, and interpret large volumes of data
- Independently design and conduct complex analysis (e.g. addressing multiple variables and dependencies) using large and sometimes messy data sets
- Explores existing data and recommends additional sources of data for improvements
- Create project documentation including business objectives, data gathering and processing, detailed set of results and analytical metrics
- Define metrics reporting approach and process: Build a holistic, data-driven approach to support the CVS Commercial Trade Organization. Define the data needs, definitions, ownership, governance, infrastructure requirements, and metrics to enable “always-on” data that provides meaningful insights to the Trade organization.
- Facilitate, or conduct, the collection and validation of data and information to support strategic decisions.
- Successfully communicate key findings and performance metrics to cross-functional teams and senior leadership to inform key business decisions.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a role that involves strategic problem solving and/or new product development
- 5+ years of leading development of analytics, reporting, and dashboards, leveraging tools such as SQL, Tableau, and MS Office.
- 7+ years of overall professional work experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in a clear, logical, and consistent manner with all audiences, with varying levels of technical background.
- Excellent project management skills with ability to lead and engage in multiple projects and initiatives and appropriately, prioritize her/his own time, and adjust priorities as needed to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous work experience within the healthcare industry, particularly a PBM
- Experience working with large volumes of medical and pharmacy claims data
- Comfortable interacting with external clients/manufacturers and having clinical conversations
- Experience working with data from Pharma, PBMs, or Healthcare
- Experience with data warehousing, data strategy, or data engineering.
Education
- Bachelor's degree required (or 5+ years of relevant work experience strategic problem solving and/or new product development
- Undergraduate degree in an analytics or STEM field (or highly relevant work experience)
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$75,400.00 - $182,549.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
