Mid Level Regional Sales Director Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level regional sales director job?
Position yourself by leading with measurable outcomes: quota attainment percentages, territory growth, and team or partner management you have owned. Tailor your resume to show you have moved beyond executing plans to building them. Highlight cross-functional collaboration and any experience coordinating with marketing, finance, or operations, since mid level regional sales director roles expect that broader ownership from day one.
Which companies hire mid level regional sales directors?
Companies hiring mid level regional sales directors right now include FirstService Residential, Fivetran, and Alta Equipment, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of national enterprises expanding into new territories and growth-stage companies building out their first dedicated regional sales structure.
Are there remote mid level regional sales director jobs?
Yes, though availability depends on the industry and employer. About 41% of mid level regional sales director openings are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with fully remote roles more common in SaaS and technology sales than in distribution or field-heavy industries. Hybrid arrangements that combine home-office strategy work with regional travel are the most frequently listed format at this level.
How do I move up to a mid level regional sales director role?
Progression into a mid level regional sales director role typically comes from consistently hitting quota as an individual contributor, then taking on informal leadership, such as mentoring newer reps or owning a sub-territory. Building a history of pipeline accuracy, forecast reliability, and cross-functional project ownership signals readiness. Employers promoting from within look for candidates who have already operated at the edge of the next level.
Which industries hire the most mid level regional sales directors?
Mid Level regional sales director roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Technology & Software, and Construction & Real Estate, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they rely on distributed sales teams covering defined geographies, which creates consistent demand for professionals who can own regional performance independently.
