Entry Level Registered Nurse Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level registered nurse job?
Start by targeting employers who explicitly welcome new graduates, such as hospitals with dedicated new-grad residency or fellowship programs. Highlight clinical rotation hours, your nursing specialty area, and any certifications like BLS or ACLS. A strong practicum evaluation and faculty references carry real weight at this stage, often more than years on the job.
Which companies hire entry level registered nurses?
Companies hiring entry level registered nurses right now include Maxim Healthcare, Atrium Health, and CHRISTUS Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. At this experience level, hiring tends to concentrate among health systems, regional hospitals, long-term care facilities, and outpatient clinics that run structured onboarding or residency programs for new graduates.
Are there remote entry level registered nurse jobs?
Yes, though most registered nurse roles at this level are on-site or hybrid given hands-on patient care requirements. About 0% of entry level registered nurse openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with remote positions typically found in telehealth triage, case management, or utilization review rather than direct bedside care.
Are these new grad registered nurse jobs?
Yes, this page includes new grad, recent graduate, and junior registered nurse roles alongside other entry level postings. A new-grad-friendly listing typically welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts clinical rotations or internship hours in place of full-time tenure, and often offers a structured residency or preceptorship to help you build confidence in your first role.
Which industries hire the most entry level registered nurses?
Entry Level registered nurse roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Insurance, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors drive hiring at the entry level because they operate high patient volumes, face ongoing staffing needs, and frequently run new-grad residency programs designed to develop nurses who are early in their clinical careers.
